My back pain had significantly improved. Good competent therapists. Needs more direct consultation and planning between direct providers or therapists and doctors.

Be aware. Insurance fraud! Not a real doctor! Run as fast as you can. Don’t fall in his pitfalls He is a scammer. He only cares how much usage meaning he can milk from you. He has zero patience to talk to patient about health condition for just 1 min in his office. He makes up all sorts of problems even you don't have them so he can keep charging you as long as possible to profit from. He will run every exam, test and shot on you still after one year there never is a sure answer from him. No improvement. This place everyone is forever in a rush and rude manner including Ma himself I consider low class. All he says is you keep coming back for treatments. His goal is to milk profits by scamming insurance so he continues running his office. All staff works here has no license or proper training. It's low quality Chinatown $20 massage you can get anywhere. His office is very filthy with no privacy just a dirty curtain to separate different beds so close together you can hear the snoring and smell bad breath of naked bodies. There is no decency of this place. The slow elevator stops on each floor and often broke down. Always packed.

I used to suffer from occupational neck pain that is often debilitating on bad days and manageable on good ones. After coming to Dr. Ma's my life is back on track for the last 4 years. The combination of physical therapy, massage, and acupuncture has really helped relieve the muscle strain I suffered from. The front desk staff is respectful and getting an appointment is never an issue even though they always seem busy. I appreciate the quick turnaround time and effective treatment.

Dr. Ma is not only an experienced surgeon from his medical career back in China and Germany, he also is a very caring person with a kind heart! As a physician, I think it is a very important quality to have!

I heard about Dr. Ma from one of my friends. I suffer from chronic low back pain for years and had been to different Chiropractors without improvement. I almost lost my hope. After my friend recommended Dr. Ma, I went here last week. This is the first time I tried acupuncture. What amazed me was that I felt some kind of relief after the first treatment. I will continue the physical therapy there and hope the low back pain will be better controlled. In addition, the front desks are friendly and patient. Highly recommended.

I found this website accidently today and thought I should write something about Dr. Ma. I have chronic left knee pain and my surgon suggested me to have knee replacement. I did a lot research on the knee replacement and am really scared of surgery. My mom recommended Dr. Ma and conviced me of getting a second opinion from him since he used to be an orthopedic surgeon in China. After he checked me carefully and reviewed my MRI reports,Dr. Ma adviced me to have conservative treatments first.Thank God I listened to him. Today, 3 years after, I am still walking with my own knees.

I've been suffering chronic headache for over 20 years and seeing so many specialists and taking tons of medications with no relief. One year ago a friend of mine recommended Dr. Ma and he believed that the headache might be related to my neck pain. He asked his therapist to focus on treating my neck and followed up with me regularly. Miracle happens!I am cured! Thanks Dr. Ma! And all nice and considerate staffs working in his office! have right shoulder pain for almost 2 years and seen different doctors and tired so many treatments before I found Dr. Ma. He is really a great doctor and figured out the shoulder pain caused by my neck problem. He treated my shoulder and neck together accordingly and I feel so much better with a few sessions. Now I go there once for a while for maintenance since I have to continue torturing my neck every day by using computer.

I have been seeing Dr. Ma over the years. He is always pleasant, and he is very good in diagnosing and give me the right medical treatment. The most important thing is that he cares about his patients. I would recommend Dr. Ma with reservation to any of my friends. We need more Doctors like him! A lot more!

I have been seeing Dr. Ma for many years. The treatments reduce my pain dramatically. Not only he is good at treatments but also a great doctor able to find other illness. His diagnostics are very accurate and pin pointing. My friends go there with my recommendation and all found very satisfied with visiting Dr. Ma.

You go in for asthma or allergy treatment and he puts you through battery of tests and bill your insurance company for all sorts of pain you never mentioned so he can collect more from insurance. this type of practice makes me nervous and his front office staff is sooo rude.

I thought Dr. Keyan ma is one of the most pleasant and professional doctor who is committed to the practice of pain management. He is the most amazing doctor. I've been to so many doctors but I feel so comfortable when Dr.Ma discuss with me about my neck pain and shoulder pain, he listens and hears what you're saying and feeling. He's reasonable, conservative in treatment and gives you the time that you need.

My 8 week surgery rotation completely wrecked havoc on every joint and muscle in my body. Even though I attend medical school in California, I promptly made my appointment with Dr. Ma over Thanksgiving Break. 6 years ago, I dislocated my knee in a serious accident. Instead of suggesting surgery (as all the other physicians had), he opted for a regimen of acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy. To this day, my knee is completely healed and pain-free! As I had expected, I left his office yesterday completely satisfied and feeling as good as new. I only hope that one day I can be as professional, caring, and knowledgeable as he is.

Dr.Ma is a brilliant diagnostition. Within a very short time he descovered the cause of my (2 year headache). I had been to several different types of doctors. They gave me tests and pain pills. Alternitive Medecine is not for everyone, but it is for me and my daughter too.I praise thes medical arena highly and I'm delighted with Dr. Keyan Ma and his friendly and capeable staff of professionals.

Dr. Ma's examination was violent and brutal. I went in with calf pain - myalgia - which has made walking difficult off and on for decades. I left with every old injury reactivated - a disc bulge from 20 years ago painful again, triggering spasms throughout my back, an old painful condition of my shoulder and neck, both reactivated by his violent twisting of my hips and my head and neck,and a vulnerable knee, now painful again as well. All of these things were fine when I went in. Now my body is full of pain. Looking on the bright side, at least these new problems have diverted some attention from my problem with walking. Meanwhile, Dr. Ma had nothing but contempt for my medical history - the findings of the doctors at NIH, University of Pa. and Columbia. Called it all "nonsense." Insisted my problem is caused by low back pain, which I didn't have until his exam. He only deals with "reality," he told me. Very simplistic - if you have low back pain, he'd probably insist you couldn't have the bubonic plague at the same time. I escaped without his performing acupuncture and will consider myself lucky if I recover in a few weeks. Maybe he can help someone who actually has a problem caused by low back pain, if he doesn't exacerbate their injury during the exam. His extreme rigidity and lack of sensitivity to the patient makes him dangerous to already injured people. Don't go with an unusual or complex disorder, e.g., autoimmune or disordered muscle metabolism. He won't listen.

a friend of mine recommended him to me as he is not charging the co-pay. it turned out that he is only interested to bring patient, whatever their problems are, to the costy massage. in my case, i was pushed forward to receive 3 times of massage before the MRI result! MRI tells that i have serious spine issue. Right after the 4th massage, my back was so badly painful and i became not even able to bow. And it lasted for 6 weeks before the situation gets back to how i felt before i received the 'treatment'! I've been trying to discuss this with the 'Dr.' Ma but his attitute was soooo bad at what i discribed to him and he refused to accepte that his 'treatment' did sth wrong to me! I do hope i can refer to some authority to complain his terrible performance, as i really don't want him continue to kill people like me!
