Dr. Kristin Elise Rooney, MD

Saw Dr. Rooney for another opinion. She really took her time to listen to me and helped me match my concerns and sensations with what she saw on my exam. I was a little worried about having to see medical students and doctors who are in training. The bottom line is that everyone was very professional and Dr. Rooney is the one in charge and it shows by the way that everyone respects her and her treatments and care.

I went to see Dr. Rooney and her team as a 3rd opinion. I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire staff. At first I was disappointed that it was almost a 3 1/2 month wait to see the doctor. I was offered a spot on the wait list and was able to get it in under a month! I thought the wait list thing was a joke, but it’s not! The medical Center is a busy place and a bit overwhelming when you walk in. Once I was back in the room, it was quiet and peaceful. Dr and her crew made me feel comfortable. They gave me options and included me in the decision making. My only complaint is that I didn’t see her first and waisted my time with the doctors at other places. Will refer everyone to her from now on!

I have been seeing doctor Rooney for several months now. She is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever encountered. She is compassionate and non-judgemental. I have felt comfortable asking her questions about my body and my relationship with my husband that I have never been comfortable discussing with anyone else before. She is always ready to listen and more than that she HEARS what you are saying to her. Oh and she did an excellent job with my surgery and has given me back a personal confidence in my life that I thought I would never see again! The only down side is that sometimes you might wait a bit to see her. Trust me, it's because she is spending time with some one who truly needs it (like me at times) and she will do the same for you when the time comes.

I've been taking my mother to Dr Tooney for over a year now. She is one of the most compassionate people I know. She treats my mother with dignity and respect. My mother has early dementia and can be combative at times but Dr always keeps her calm and my mother seems peaceful and happy in the Drs presence. I am so glad that we have found her. She now cares for my sister and when my time comes, I can't imagine anyone else to care for me.

Dr Rooney was very nice and explained the diagnosis well.

Wonderful doctor! Called me personally to discuss lab results - on the weekend no less! You can tell she really loves her job and really cares about people.

Kind, gentle and personable. Put at ease about what is going on with my body.

Love this doctor. I could go on for days about her but the best thing i can tell you is to just go see her and see for yourself how wonderful she is!

I have been seeing doctors at the university for many years now. When I began to have problems with my bladder, my doctor said to see Dr. Rooney. She said I think you'll really like her. And, I do. She is wonderful, pleasant and a very good doctor. She has fixed my bladder control completely and I have my life back! I would recommend her to anyone whose ever had their bladder control their life.

Dr. Rooney is now affiliated with the Olson Women's Center at Nebraska Medicine. She is a talented, knowledgeable doctor and a wonderful human being. She was the first physician in Omaha to listen to my problems and help me remedy the problems and live a more normal life. She has the ability to be friendly and funny while still remaining the consummate professional. She made a point of visiting me while hospitalized at Nebraska Medicine. I've never had any of my primary physicians visit me during my confinement at that hospital. She also places her patients above politics and her ego. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Rooney and her staff.

I first saw Dr. Rooney 2 years ago. She was amazing. She sat with me for at least an hour telling me all of the options I had for my condition, reassured me that it was nothing serious and that I can decide to do something about it when I felt ready. I called last week to follow up with her since I am FINALLY ready. She's gone! I tried to find her at the number they gave me, but she's not there yet. Today I went and saw another Dr. at Methodist. She really seemed to lack confidence and knowledge that Dr. Rooney has. I need to find Dr. Rooney, I hope she will show back up in Omaha soon!
