Dr. Kristine Marie Cooper, DO

My first appointment w/Dr. Cooper was an eye opener! Apparently, she did her homework & was ready to question me on thoroughly on my health history. She ordered diagnostic tests to make sure she had all the information for her consultation w/me. She was reassuring, knowledgeable, & not only showed her concern for ALL my chronic health conditions, she wrote all her orders in longhand, so I could refer back to them if I had any questions. My initial visit was 2 hours. I don't know if she donates the extra time herself. I'm pretty sure medicare does not cover the extra time she spent w//me . I've had many doctrs over the years, but Dr. Cooper rates a #1 with me!

Dr. Cooper was the best doctor I have ever had in my adult life. She was thorough in her explanations and compassionate in her conversation. Despite the difficulty of discovering a specific diagnosis , she took the time to go over my symptoms, explained about medications, and made me feel reassured. I wish there was a way to find our if she is practicing in the area.

I agree with everyone,She is a good Dr.and i miss her as well.I have had quite a time finding another Dr. Good ones are few and far between

I would love to know where she went. DIM really lost a good Dr when she left. I think they made a huge mistake letting her go. Where ever she is I'm sure she will have happy patients.

Not sure why Dr. Cooper is still listed as being with Dubuque Internal Medicine, since she was terminated as of Dec. 31st. 2015. I am glad I read these reviews, since I believed she was terminated because she spent so much time with her patients. I was sick when I opened the letter and saw I no longer had the best Doctor I have found in this town. She took her time with patients because she cared about them. She did not just give you a pill and say see me in six months. I would also like to find were she went, because I would go to her in a heartbeat. Too bad Dubuque Internal Medicine lost a very good Doctor because of the all almighty dollar. I wish you well Dr. Cooper where ever you are. Shame on Dubuque Internal Medicine, you did not realize what you had.

Dr. Cooper was the absolute best doctor I have EVER been to hands down. She actually took the time to listen to her patients. I am no longer going to Dubuque Internal Medicine because of the way the rest of the "doctors" treated me. They just rush people in and out as quick as possible and don't really care about the person themselves. If the reason Doctor Cooper was terminated was indeed because she cared too much about her patients, then I hope D.I.M. needs to apologize to the community for loosing a great great doctor. If I could get an honest answer as to where Doctor Cooper went, I'd would go there to be her patient again. I would drive several hours just to be her patient. I hope D.I.M. realizes what they did. They not only lost the best Doctor they had but have alienated a lot of patients who are all being VERY vocal about how they feel.

Update to original post. Dr. Cooper was terminated by Dubuque Internal Medicine for spending to much time with her patients. I could not believe it when I heard it, but they wanted to limit the time that she spends with a patient so they could run as many people through their medical industry people mill as they possibly could. So much for caring for the patient instead of the almighty dollar!!!! Shame on you Dubuque Internal Medicine you missed out on having a great Doctor. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU DOCTOR COOPER. Start your own practice and you will run them out of business.

In all my life Dr. Cooper is hands down the absolute finest doctor there is. I'm pleased our paths crossed.

She truly was the best doctor I've had. From the moment she came into the room till the minute she left, she made you feel like you were the only person in the world. She listened, explained, what ever you needed and gave a honest straightforward diagnosis. The only issue I've ever heard about her, was she was late at times to get into the room. The reason she was late is because she was doing everything she needed to do for the person she was seeing before you. But when she got into your room if she was late she didn't try to rush through caring for you to try to get caught up. She gave you every minute you needed which was awesome and I would deal with her being late anytime because I know that she is a very caring person trying to do her best for everyone she sees. Lastly but certainly not least, the nursing staff she had with her, were top notch also. If anyone finds out where she went please post it on here. The clinic is being very tightlipped about information. I think, for the fear of a mass exodus of patients leaving the clinic and following where she goes.

For those of you that lost her she was in Dubuque but is gone again as of Dec 31, 2015. My husband and I will be watching for where she went next. Best physician we've had in 30 years.

Dr. Cooper was like family to us. We were so sad when she left Wisconsin. She was my Mothers Doctor for years. My Mom is a difficult patient and a little eccentric but, Dr. Cooper was always kind and treated her with the up most respect and would spend as much time as we needed with her. Her caring and kindness was a god send. I will never be able to express to her how much she helped us and how much it meant to us. She is an excellent doctor but, more importantly an excellent person.

I cannot say enough positive things above Dr. Cooper. Being new to Dubuque myself I was nervous to find someone who would relate to me. She took her time, explained things to me in terms I could understand, didn't rush me, wrote everything down for me and really treated me like a person she cared about! Loved this doctor! Thank you Dr. Cooper

I can not say enough about Dr Cooper, She was worth waiting for which at times could be a long wait But we always planned ahead. She took her time with her patients and you were not just a number, she truly cared. when my mom was gravely ill she would spend hours with us in the hospital, she was not just her doctor , but truly afriend and we even felt she was part of our family. I will truly miss you Dr Cooper there surly are not many doctors like you. I wish you all the luck and hope you are doing well.

Dr. Cooper is an excellent doctor. She takes the time to listen why you are seeing her and then investigates to ensure that the treatment plan is in your best interest. I truly miss the quality doctor and the trust I had in her for my health care needs. I wish her all the best. You are missed in Wisconsin.

I have been seeing Dr. Cooper for years. It is the general consensus that Dr.Cooper always gave you the time I needed and always took the time to explain anything I would have the slightest concern. I plan on finding Dr. Cooper as she has left practice group in Waukesha. I suggest to those who read this give her a try, she never disapoints

There is no one quite like her. She had been my PCP for the last 7 yrs. Everytime I knew I was coming in to see her, I gave myself a 2 hr. window...but, it didn't matter...I would give her a 4 hr. window if she needed it!! She cares about her patients as individuals and not just somebody who has or dosn't have ins. or whatever. She could read me like a book which was a little scary at times, but always much appreciated. So sorry she left Practice Mgmnt Group...but, I'll find her. Good Luck to you Dr. Cooper, wherever you are!!!

Dr. Cooper has been are family doctor for years,, and seeing her may be rough,,, its well worth the time. She can be late for appointments, but its because she giving the time to someone ahead of you.......

Never have I experienced a physician who will take as much time as Dr Cooper. She is knowledgable and caring.
