My visit to Dr. Cabbell was very rewarding. I think he felt my pain and he also gave me option regarding my condition and most of all he listened.

Amazing doctor. He had a diagnosis just from watching me walk into his exam room. The MRI just confirmed his diagnosis. Also, he has an amazing bedside manner. I feel very assured with his care and am glad I was referred to him.

Dr. Cabbell, explained everything to me and my daughter very well. It left me with a better understanding of my situation and I what my decision would be about my situation. He has a very calming personality, which makes you feel at ease. He listens to your concerns and really cares about your situation.

As a nurse of over 20 years... If I could leave less than one star I would. My mother suffered a traumatic event (ruptured aneurysm/ hemorrhagic stroke. We were thankfully with her and had her in the ED in minutes. We then waited over 3 HOURS for this man. When he finally arrived he was not just cold and callous but purely mean and unprofessional. As my mother lay there intubated and dying he told me he "was stretched thin and had a lot going on". When I indicated that I had a lot going on as well, and she was lying on the table... he turned away from my mother's scans and stared me down with the most vicious look I have ever seen. My mother had a chance when she arrived, but after the 3 hour wait the damage was catastrophic and I subsequently lost her. I am not speaking from a place of an uneducated layperson but as an experienced nurse who works in neurosurgery myself. This man should never be allowed to do this to another family. I firmly believe he, and the mismanagement of her overall care that night, are the reason I am planning my mother's funeral rather than her rehabilitation. Please... avoid him at all costs. He may be a talented surgeon but he needs administrative leave for a refresher in compassion and perhaps an anger management course at the very least.

Dr. Cabbell, Is a straight forward direct professional with a very humorous slant. Sometimes, just being direct is best and this doctor nailed it. I wanted an answer that was not filled with medical terminology. He showed that he had the knowledge at first with the verbiage of my medical diagnoses and then he put it in a vernacular that was readily understood by me.

Even putting aside his disrespect for others by making you wait on average two hours before you see him for your visit OR surgery, he has the worse bedside manner of any Dr. I have ever encountered. He performed my surgery and said I would be able to drive in a week and I may sound like I have a frog in my throat. Today is day 22 after surgery and I have no voice and I'm so weak and tired that I can hardly function. His response: It has nothing to do with me or my surgery, goodbye. He is very egotistical and unresponsive to his patients concerns. I was crying in his office and he looked at me like I was crazy. He says he has no way of knowing why I lost my voice. The surgery entailed him going through my throat and around my esophagus to replace and fuse a disc. He's very cold and aloof. Please do not use this Dr., there are too many good ones in the area to go through this. I am praying that my voice returns.

Terrible bed side manner, lack of professional help, a hateful joke of a doctor!! I'd never recommend this big headed non caring self!- He is terrible and has some serious anger issues! Do not see this guy he is a joke !! RUN!!

He was the on call doctor and yelled at me over the phone and told me I wasn't entitled to and help and then hung up on me!! How dare he speak to a person in pain seeking medical advice and tell them they aren't entitled!!!! I hope karma gets his hateful non professional rude self!!

He laughed in my face. Basically told me my mri wasn’t accurate despite me being in severe pain and my mri reflecting bulging disc. I started crying and he just walked away and told me to go back to my primary doctor which is who referred me to him. What a joke.

He is one of the best surgeons I have every had. He's very understanding. Very blunt. He doesn't sugar coat anything. I world let him remove me head and put it back on. I live in Dayton ohio now. I beleave that I'm going to have to have another back surgery. And if I do I will see if he'll let me come to him. I trust him with my life. Hands down the best surgeon their is in the world

My wife's surgery from by Dr Cabbell was the biggest regret of our entire life. Dr Cabbell put my wife in a wheelchair immediately after surgery. Dr Cabbell told me and my wife that her cervical surgery was one of the most common procedures done today and if it makes her feel more comfortable that he has never paralyzed a single patient in his entire career. My wife lives in daily pain and may never walk again. Dr Cabbell has left my wife in a wheelchair and needs 24/7 care. My wife has had daily physical therapy for 8 months so far and there's no sign of her walking in the near future. Dr Cabbell was very unprofessional after the surgery and never even took the time after surgery to motivate or give her positive encouragement. Dr Cabbell never gave me or my wife a explanation of what went wrong all I know is my 41 year old healthy beautiful wife walked in and never walked out.

Dr. Cabbell was one of two surgeons who operated on me. I am pleased with the outcome and grateful for his help!

Good luck with this guy..if ur smart, u ll run the other way. My daughter in law, who is 41, is paralzed by this idiot

After having my back surgery he told me I didn't need physical therapy... WRONG!!! This was mistake number 1. 4 months later I'm back in his office because of severe pain and he pretended not to know where it was coming from that it wasn't my back surgery. Pain never ceases and a month later in hospital on heart unit and they felt my all over body pain was coming from my back surgery which can lead to offset of spine. Go back to see Dr. Cabell with this info, he does exrsys and then joke about buying new car with the surgery I now need in my neck. I never had any problems with the spine area of my neck.. I leave his office crying and never heard anything from his office. I am now living in 24 hour pain that is causing me to want to give up!!! Called his office to talk about how to fix this issue and all they wanted was a previous bill that the insurance did not take care of..This Dr has COMPLETELY TAKEN MY LIFE AWAY!!!! Suffering daily with regrets of trusting this office.. I may die in the process from what has happened but I assure this story will not end here. No one should be used to make money by jack Ingrid your health up so you need to return for additional surgeries... THEN TO JOKE ABOUT IT...

One of the worst experience I've had especially when need assistance after the office visit. You can't get him or his medical assistance to return call or provide services needed.
