Dr. Larae Coleman Brown, MD, MHA, FACOG

I had a different opinion of Dr Brown prior to my reading her appointment summaries. I thought she was very professional and extremely compassionate. She verbally approved and agreed with discussions we had regarding my health and care. Then one day I happened to read her summaries of my appointments. Everything she said in her summary was a flat out lie. She said things that were never ever mentioned nor discussed during my appointments. I feel she is a totally distrusting doctor. To think many women are trusting this woman with their bodies and babies is a scary thought. They need to go back and review all of the appointment summaries written by Dr Brown to make sure they are accurate. She'll agree with you to your face then turn her back to cover her butt.

Dr. LaRae C Brown is absolutely awesome - I cannot recommend her enough. She's knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely cares about you. She is incredibly kind, generous with her time - I did not feel rushed at all as she took the time to go through my medical history covering every possible detail and answering all my questions and concerns. I must say she was the most thorough of doctors I have ever been to. Her staff is awesome as well. I highly recommend Dr. C LaRae Brown. A+++++ service!

I found her through my best friend.. Dr. Brown has been a gift from god. She listens to her patients and she goes above and beyond to get you a diagnosis and resolution.. She is truly the best because of her I no longer have to suffer... I will recommend her to anyone woman having problems.

My first visit with Dr Brown was today. My daughter recommended her to me. She is awesome. Got right to a problem I was having and I found that she has a lot of compassion which you don’t find to much

Had a few strange issues with this gyno. I supposedly had a surgery scheduled at St.Vincents for removal of an embedded IUD. She never explained the name of the procedure or surgery that was going to be done. Which I later found out from the gyno I switched to that I was going to have a Hysteroscopy AND Laparoscopy needed for my embedded IUD. Literally all she told me was "Don't worry it's not going to be anything major we actually have a new device that makes it simple to get the rest of the IUD out. The day before the supposed surgery SHE calls me from the St.Vincent Family Medicine Center to make sure I can go to St.Vincent's Hospital the next day for surgery, to inform me where to park or be dropped off, and to make sure I would have a driver other than myself. They did already have blood work done weeks prior. However, I was NOT given any pre-surgery instructions or anything besides a verbal no smoking. An hr after our call I found out my ride was not going to be able to make it and I was going to have to cancel my surgery. First I called St. Vincent's Family medicine Center and they said they didn't see anything in the system about it but that's because it would all be in the St. Vincent's Hospital systems since this was a surgery. I asked if I could speak to Dr. Larae Brown to inform her of the cancellation. I was told she had just left for lunch prior to my call. I did find it odd that they couldn't pull anything up on the surgery in their systems considering the doctor literally just called me an hour prior FROM THEIR OFFICE PHONE. Either way I thought maybe their systems are separated so I just asked them to leave a message for the Dr. Brown (who they advised was currently out of the office on lunch). Then I immediately called the St. Vincent's hospital. I found out there was no surgery scheduled. They had no idea what I was even talking about I spoke to scheduling and anyone who could look up surgeries or appointments but nothing was found. There was nothing to cancel! To top it off the next day Dr. Brown never called me neither did the hospital. I pretty much waited a whole month for the surgery to remove the other piece of my iud for nothing. I would have gone to the hospital at 6 or 7 the next morning and they wouldn't have even had the surgery in the system. After this issue I started to think I might need to change my hospital and obgyn. Second issue was for a separate known issue I only called her office because she had just prescribed antibiotics for this issue the month before so I figured she could just send the same prescription to a pharmacy near me again. I was currently on vacation so I wasn't even in town at the time. I explained my issue and they could see the antibiotics I had been given a month or two prior but needed the doctors approval to send the prescription to the pharmacy. Therefore they said she would call me right back in the next 2 or 3 hours. After 4 hours I called them back and was told she literally just left out the door for a 7 day vacation so I wouldn't be able to get the antibiotics I needed from her. I would literally have to find a gyno near me and schedule an appt. Lucky for OTC meds. To finish the it off after exactly 7 days she called my phone NON STOP! I called them back after the first day of missed calls and informed them I had found a new obgyn an to not worry about calling me and to make a note in the system for he if they could. Literally got calls REPEATEDLY FOR DAYS. I called them again and told them to please stop calling I have a;ready found a gyno. The third time I had to call I wasn't pleasant and demanded they make a note on my records they ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CALL ME ANYMORE! I don't know if the office was calling me all day everyday or if it was actually here but I had messages from the first calls from her personally. VERY ODD and uncomfortable situations. This all happened in the middle of 2016 I called their office earlier this year (2017) and was told she is no longer with them (with an offensive tone).

Dr Brown makes you feel so comfortable. She treats you like family.

I really liked her a lot. She young, pretty and on my level.

DR. BROWN IS VERY CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, & PATIENT. SHE EVALUATES HER PATIENTS THOROUGHLY & ANSWERS ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS THAT THE PATIENT HAS. SHE HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR 3 YEARS AND I HOPE SHE CONTINUES TO PRACTICE IN JACKSONVILLE, FL. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. BROWN TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS A GREAT OB-GYN.
