A friend recommended Dr Likver and Prolozone therapy after I my visit to an orthopedic surgeon and he recommended knee replacement. I did some research and liked what I read. I made the appointment in the Manhattan office. I was both excited and scared at the same time. When I first met Dr. Livker with her welcoming smile and soothing voice, my fears were gone. Her exam was very thorough and she took the time to explain everything. Leaving her office with a head full of information I had question a week later and she called me back on her cell to answer them. Dr Likver is an amazing doctor who truly cares about her patients. She is compassionate, kind, and you feel heard when you are with her. I've been treated by multiple prolotherapists (regenerative medicine specialists) and she is by far the most knowledgeable and gentle with the needle. She uses an ultrasound with all her injections and her technique is very precise (and as painless as possible). I am a former NCAA Division I tennis player and I was treated by Dr. Likver after suffering a knee injury. I received plasma and ozone injections (+additional treatment) and it was a great decision. Prior to meeting Doctor Likver, I had a knee replacement surgery on my right knee, and same surgery was scheduled for the left knee. I have been experiencing pain from Osteoarthritis for over 13 years. I was lucky enough to avoid knee surgery by opting to try out Hyaluronan fluid injections. that helped to reduce the joint pain, but did not address helping the body to fix the problem. I went to Dr Likver in so much pain with both knees that I could hardly walk without cringing. She took the time to explain to me what was happening with my body and the true root of the cause of the knee pain. The initial visit cost and then cost of the treatments gave me real pause. But I knew that after years of abuse to my arms and going to many orthopedists, I needed a doctor who cares and didn't want to give me cortisone shots and write prescriptions. Dr. Likver cares, is really enthusiastic and the treatments she provides worked for me. She treated my tennis elbows/golf elbows/bicep tendonitis with PRP and my shoulders with Prolo. She met with me initially for an hour, made a recommendation, gave me written materials and told me to go on the internet and read up on both treatments. I got convinced, especially by all the professional athletes taking the PRP treatment. At every treatment appointment she spent time discussing my progress.
