Dr. Laura K. Altom

Dr. Altom made an embarrassing exam bearable with her excellent bedside manner. She correctly diagnosed my issue, took the time to explain it, and discussed her plan toward healing which involved the least invasive path first. Dr. Altom is the epitome of what a great doctor should be. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

One of the best surgeons I have ever had. I have had Crohn's Disease for 15 years, and have had over 20 surgeries. Dr. Altom has performed my last two surgeries. My case is a complicated one, and Dr. Altom has never failed to spend as much time with me as needed, whether it is in my hospital room, or in her office. After my last surgery, we could not get my pain under control, and Dr. Altom spent time in the PACU with me and the nurse until it started to get better. I was nearly bed bound before my last 2 surgeries, and without her, I would not have a quality of life. Her partner, Dr. Strouch, also assisted in the surgeries, and he is wonderful as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing surgery. She is beyond wonderful!
