Dr. Lawrence Brian Afrin, MD

If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. Afrin doggedly pursued my chronic condition and gave me back my life. My local doctor was blown away by the thoroughness of his initial exam, his treatment recommendations which included various options as patients respond differently, and his willingness to answer follow up questions. Dr. Afrin also spends considerable time and effort educating the medical field to this condition. This is hugely important as most physicians haven’t even heard of what can be a terrible, life destroying disorder that is not at all uncommon.

This is the most compassionate, caring doctor i have ever seen. With my mastocytosis, I had seen many doctors. They kept passing me around. Dr. Afrin took the time to get to know me and help me tremendously. I cant thank him enough for the time he had given me. I have come so far. I am saddened that he left the U of M, but happy i was able to see him while he was here.

Dr. Afrin surprised me, hhe was AWESOME! Very caring and took a long time with getting my complete medical history since birth. (I am 50 so that was a lot in itself). He made me feel like I was more important to him than any one else. My husband was very impressed as well. I hope that no one ever has to have cancer to see him, but if you do...he is a great DR!
