Dr. Lawrence Joseph Conell, MD

Dr. Conell is awesome, he cares for his patients. Jeannie one of the front office ladies is so sweet and very helpful and she knows her stuff, she always greets you with a smile she is just simply awesome.

A previous critic seemed like a bomb ready to explode. Maybe showing that individual the door was the proper thing to do without the complete story; too many me's in it. I enjoy my visits, the waiting room is brief & without elevator music. After the initial diagnosis, I progressed into a maintained success. I bring my scripts, it saves time that allows more time to talk. With Dr. Conell's experience, phone availability and the greatest staff, they keep the overhead down. I was once explosive, spending nights raging on my computer only to hit send then the next day thinking, please somebody stop me! As far as temper, I above any would know, I've shown up with more than a few lousy "report cards".

I started to see him when the psych. I was seeing retired. He was not very friendly and acted like he didnt want to be there. He already had summed me up & couldn't wait for me to stop talking. He was very arrogant & rude !! I would advise anyone thinking of going to him to check out what other patients are saying !! He needs to be removed or better yet FIRED !! He is not fit to be called a DOCTOR !!

I have seen him over 30 years. We have a good doctor patient relationship.

I began seeing Dr. Conell in Fredericksburg, Va. in 1987. He put me in hospital that first visit because of all my symptoms that I was experiencing for about 7 yrs. It was a brain Tumor. Had it removed weeks later. The road was long and hard and many obstacles continually got in my way. Dr. Conell was always their to help me. I stayed many times in the mental facility in Harrisonburg. I am to this day so thankful for his part and all that I learned at the facility to being able to enjoy my life today.The very best to him.

Dr, Conell was my doctor for over 23 years. I could not continue to see him because he moved out of the area. He was always patient, kind and compassionate. He never failed to return my calls, and he never delegated my care to other doctors or subordinates. He made a very positive contribution to my well-being. I cannot imagine my life without him in it! He works very hard. God bless him! :)

I have always liked this man, he always returns my calls when I needed him and has never been rude at all. He has never belittled me and always listened to all of my questions and concerns. I hope he never retires! I found him by going to one of his seminars and when I got the chance to become one of his patients I did. I liked his seminar and thought at that time if I could have him as a Dr.he would seem to be a good one and I'm glad I did because he turned out to be just that for me! A great Dr.!

Dr. Conell has to be one of the rudest physicians in the state. He has a very condesending manner and makes you feel uncomfortable just talking to him . It is hard enough talking to someone about your personal problems and he is not listening to you at all. The staff was unfriendly also. I would have gotten more help talking to my dead grandmother. Stay away from him because he needs to stop practicing!

Very caring and helpful. Made me feel comfortable and he listened carefully to my concerns. I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative reviews, I would definitely recommend Dr. Conell to anyone in need if a psychiatrist.

Dr. Conell is a poor example of a doctor. He is rude and down right cruel to his patients. He uses verbal attacks and if you have anxiety or depression, don't go to him for help because when you leave his office you will probably go jump of a bridge. I had to miss an appointment and even though I called in well before 24 hours he still chewed me out. This is no exaggeration. This man has way worse issues than most of his own patients.

Dr . Conell has got to be one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. From the first appointment he is uncaring and doesn't listen to what you are saying. It is obvious that he knows everything and has no regard for what you are going through. His office staff are not helpful in person or on the phone. Dr. Conell is rude and is not a good psychiatrist...there are much better doctors in that area!

Dr. Conell is not a caring doctor. Since my first appointment he was rude & was not a good listner. He rushed me through all my appointments. He has an attitude problem & belittles you as a person. The office staff was unfriendly too. I would not let him treat my dog! I no longer go to that office....before you go to him please reconsider !
