Excellent dr he fixed my knees and my broken leg

I did not care for Dr. Shall. His PA Patrick was wonderful! He did all the work. He explained everything and very caring, went over my X-rays and plan of action. Dr. Shall came in at the very end and just said hi and bye and charged me for the visit. Very disappointing. He comes off as very arrogant. Will not go back to him for a follow up. My arm will fall off first!

Really felt comfortable with dr lawrence he gave me an honest opinion and recommended me to another surgeon that is a little more of a specialist for my ankle injuries

I brought my 17 year old son in for an evaulation after he was struck by a car on his bike. Dr. Shall was friendly, funny and professional. He clearly knows what he is talking about and relayed his findings to my son and myself in an easy to understand fashion that left us both feeling confident he had not suffered any serious injury. The staff was great from check in to check out. I would recommend Dr. Shall to anyone looking for an easy to talk to orthopeadic doctor.

I have never seen a doctor with as poor of a bedside manner as Dr. Shall. Not only did I wait over an hour past my appointment time to see him for both of my appointments, but he was gruff and inconsiderate when talking with me about my condition. He did not give any explanation for what he thought was going on, and he did not listen well to the concerns I brought up, causing me to instead feel stupid in the appt. After waiting for him for over an hour, he only spent about 2-4 minutes in the exam room with me for both appointments. When I respectfully confronted him about his lateness and bedside manner, he proceeded to yell at me (with my husband in the room) to intimidate me. He said he overbooks his appointments as a way to "keep busy" as his excuse for being so late to the appointments.

Worst experience I have every had with a dr he was eating something and was spitting while talking to me he never apologize for making me wait for him for almost 3 hrs the nurse came and got me for a xray and he never look at it before he came to see me he told me I would never get in to see him or another dr this quick if it was quick wow who does he think he is I have never experienced anything like it I walk out

Great Dr great service

Dr. Shall, while quick and blunt, does care about his patients. I came in with my history from an old doctor about hyper-mobile patellas. We took x-rays and tried physical therapy first, rather than diving right into surgery. When the therapy didn't help, we decided on an MPFL Reconstruction. He didn't force the idea on me and when I had questions, took the time to re-explain things that I didn't understand the first time. I've had some healing complications due to infection and he's been very empathetic about it. He referred me to a plastic surgeon to revise my wounds but still kept up with me. Him and the other doctor were very good about communicating and doing what was best for me. Every subsequent visit where my wound was not better, you could tell he was very upset and emotional about it. He was truly disappointed that things weren't going as planned. He gave me all my options: another debridement, reversing the surgery and re-doing it at a later date, or reversing it and doing a different one. Despite his lack of optimism about another debridement, he had no qualms doing it for me anyway because it was what I asked for. He's also launched an investigation at the outpatient facility to make sure that the infection didn't come from there, as to prevent any future complications for people in the future. My last debridement was yesterday so, we'll see how that goes. As for my knee, it's healing as planned. A bit of pain here and there but my knee hasn't fully healed yet so it's to be expected. If you can't handle a doctor that is blunt and tells you exactly what he's thinking, then this isn't the doctor for you. However, when it comes to medical treatment, I'd much prefer someone tell me exactly how it is and Dr. Shall does just that.

Dr Shall has excellent bedside manner- I enjoyed being a patient of his and his team.

appointment for consult was cancelled 3 times by office/doctor. after surgery care was given in a rush and left not remembering everything i was told. having tooth issues after surgery, spoke to doctor who said come in first thing at 8 and he's check it out. had to leave after waiting 40 minutes.

For my initial visit, I informed him I was told years ago that I had a torn meniscus which he promptly told me was highly unlikely, I also said I was told previously I needed surgery but due to my age was not eligible before. He requested an Xray which of course showed nothing but he went ahead and started talking about surgery and/or PT even though he had no idea the problem! I insisted on an MRI which he readily agreed to and when the results came in said to me, "You have a torn meniscus like I thought." Are you kidding me? He was very funny and out going but a total quack when it came to his job. I am getting a second opinion on surgery and if it is time, he won't be the one to do it.

Hands down...Dr. Larry Shall is an EXCELLENT orthopedic doctor. He knows his job/career and can fix anyone's problem. Have used him and referred friends and we are all pleased. His busy office shows that he is a qualified and kind doctor. Don't be too much in a hurry to have success in your own life. Take the time to know the BEST doctor for your health and life.

Stay away from dr.shall. All he wants to do is operate on you. I've had knee problems for the past year it was shifting out of place. When he saw it, he told me what my options were and when he said physical therapy was an option he laughed and said that he didn't think it was going to work. Okay first of all there wasn't even an MRI on my knee......and also when he came in he was wearing a polo shirt that said "Atlantic orthopaedics" like really you don't work at McDonald's where's your shirt and tie?!?!

I'm surprised at all of the negative reviews. I saw Dr Shall and he addressed my issues immediately. He gave me ample time to discuss all of my concerns and at the same time he was friendly, professional and caring. I'm happy that I've gone to see him and I look forward to alleviating my issues. He even politely corrected me on some misinformation that I had about my medical history. I was thankful to be enlightened about it. I would definitely recommend Dr Shall. Like all human beings, we like some, we can't stand some. In my opinion, his expertise is well worth the time.

Dr. Shall performed a surgery on me when I was sixteen. I was not healing correctly and he talked my parents into another one. A year later i was a crippled high school student unable to participate in my sport that was going to guarantee me a college scholarship. I was informed by my physical therapist that something was seriously wrong and that i needed a new doctor. My new doctor confirmed that he had messed up and performed the surgery incorrectly. I personally know two athletes that he has done similar things to and countless healthcare professionals that have said he has ruined young athletes. I still have constant pain and have had four more surgeries to repair what he messed up.

I am having terrible shoulder pain. I had x-rays, cortisone shot, 12 sessions of physical therapy and none of this made any difference. Had an MRI done on May 29 and I had to go to my Chiropractor to find out the results. Dr. Shall's office has never even bothered to call me with the results, which are not good. I have a "tendon full-thickness tear" and it will require surgery to repair. Dr. Shall never even saw me except to give a shot I was seen by an assistant. I sure hope Medicare paid the assistant rate and not the Dr. rate. Anyone know an orthopedic surgeon I could go to?

This Doctor and Office receive no stars from me. From the wait to their attitudes whether in person or on the phone. Dr Shall did surgery on my shoulder which left me in continued pain. He was nasty, arrogant and refused to listen to anything I had to say as a patient. Dr Shall even had his PA to dismiss me stating to go back to my prior doctor which was no longer covered under my insurance. The only time he or his PA took the time out to talk was when I decided to have another doctor with me which I wanted to see their response. I will not recommend anyone to enter this office. From their receptionist to the back it was if they all had been trained on rudeness or how to make at least one of their patients day bad. No manners at all.

I am 19 years old and I have a broken ankle as a result of a skateboarding accident. first off I went to see dr shall because it was where the ER told me to go. I got to the office early to fill out paperwork and was told he was an hour behind.. the office had only been open for 3 hours. I then proceeded to wait over 2 hours with my grandma in a small room until the dr finally came in, was very rude to us, poked my ankle in 2 places which thankfully wasn't even where I was hurt, and said I needed to have surgery immediately, scheduling me for the following Friday. I do not recommend this man, he was terrible.

I want to start out saying that Dr. Shall's PA was very nice and helpful, though notably not extremely experienced. He did help me a lot with questions I had when the doctor didn't do a good job explaining things, and understood that I was very worried about my diagnosis. Dr. Shall himself spent a total of about 5 minutes with me in the 4 visits I had with his office. I wish that was an exaggeration. My last visit I had to chase him down, after he backed out of the exam room while I was speaking to him, to get him to finish answering my questions. He then acted like I was being a terrible bother even though I waited 45 minutes after my appt. time to see him. The other visits I only waited about 5-10 minutes but on one occasion I didn't get to see him at all. Their office staff is also extremely difficult to deal with on the phone and does a poor job of communicating problems that arose. I would also like to note that the nurse I dealt with across all of my visits was helpful as well.
