Dr. Chaychi is very knowledgeable and super professional. She is an expert leader of her field and provides outstanding care to her patients. I went to see her for the first time 7 months ago and her level of medical knowledge and expertise impressed me. She explained my possible medical condition in simple words that no other Dr. has ever done and asked me to do some tests. I have seen three other endocrinologist in the area for fatigue, joint pain and concentration issues but no one ever listened to me as Dr. Chaychi did. She diagnosed me with a condition called HPP. I had to met this brilliant Dr. years ago. I was diagnosed with osteopenia at a very young age and no one ever looked into a cause but her. She is a fount of knowledge knows better than anyone about bone disease including osteoporosis and osteopenia, knows all the cutting edge medical treatments and stands beside you to get the right medication approved by your insurance. I want to thank Dr. Chaychi for giving me back quality of life that I have not had for years. When my endocrinologist retired, I inherited Dr. Leyla Chaychi. I saw her for routine visits like annual blood-work without incident. I later developed a chronic condition. At the time of my diagnosis, Dr. Chaychi told me that there was a new breakthrough drug. She rattled through all its pro’s at break neck speed, barely answering all my questions. She did not disclose important information about it—including the fact that it had been FDA-approved two months ago to the day, probably making me one of (if not the first) of her patients to try it. Having sung the drug’s praises, Dr. Chaychi and her office then did very little to help me obtain it. Things devolved over the next six weeks, and my decision to leave Dr. Chaychi became the obvious solution. During that time, I had the misfortune of repeatedly interacting with her very inefficient office staff. They had supplied incorrect provider information for Dr. Chaychi to my insurance company, which resulted in my claim for the drug being declined because “she was out of network”. But once I took control of the situation and called the preauthorization department myself, they told me they had never received the required paperwork from her office at all. I tried several times to talk to Dr. Chaychi about this. Despite leaving numerous messages with her staff, voicemails, and even attempting to make an appointment, I never heard back from her. The worst part of all of this is that Dr. Chaychi never bothered to follow up and ensure that I received the treatment she herself believed I needed, suggesting that she did not ultimately care about my recovery. To those of you with chronic conditions especially, I suggest you save yourself a lot of time and trouble and ensure your name is not on her schedule.

Dr Chaychi is patient with you and explains things to you in a way that you will understand. If a certain treatment does not work, she changes the approach that is easiest for you. I highly recommend her and her staff.
