Dr. Leon Zacharowicz

Dr. Zacharowicz is a very thorough doctor who likes to get a good history and a very comprehensive examination before he offers a diagnosis which is on target. He takes his time with his patients and truly cares about them. He took care of a number of my family members and each one was very satisfied.

I liked Dr. Z very much. He truly cares about his patients with a bit of humor. Quite knowledge, no rush. answers questions and advises and spends time without feeling rushed. But, he moved from a Manhattan facility and I must find another neuro. I am sad but wish him well.

Dr. Z is truly concerned about his patients and spends time with no rush. I was sorry to learn that he left a 14th street facility in Manhattan. A wonderful neuro but now I must find another in Manhattan. I found him to be quite comical too. I had some good laughs. Dr. Z I miss you.

Dr. "Z" is very knowledgeable and cares for his patients. He spends time with each patient. You may have to wait to see him but the wait is worth it!

Was really there for you, spent a lot of time talking to me, and although I felt initially he was being curt, ultimately I knew he meant to be genuine and caring. Reminded me a bit of Dr. House.

While he can seem abrupt at first, he makes up for it with genuine caring about his patients, quality care, and his excellent diagnosis. He nailed our son's epilepsy meds (which can be tricky to get right) the very first time. He has a level of personal care I never expected to have from a peds neurologist, and has gone above and beyond for our family. I would absolutely recommend him to any parent for their child.

HORRIBLE! This Dr is a disgrace to the profession. He did nothing to help whatsoever. He sat at his computer the entire time, and was rude and did not want to answer any of my questions. He told me that he would prefer that I take my foster child to another office for care and that I should wait until I adopted her to take her to a specialist. He snapped at my foster daughter and made her cry. I will not be going back.

Upon ongoing visits with This physician for my son who is diagnosed with Autism I found him to be very judemental over fathers. Let me explain.I am in the midst of a volatile divorce and custody situatation. I found him to be very judgemental with unwitted humor and sarcasm and negative innuendos towards me in office vists. Ive tried to have some private conversations but he refuses.All professionals should be non judgemental and biased during family crisis situations. Ive been met with as others have stated cunningness and sarcastic negativity and senseless condensending ill humor. There are always two sides of a story and again it is within the best intrest of the children not the marriage situation that is in hand. I would prefer another Dr. but under court order he remains.. I hope he would understand not to judge as he will be judged!This pertains to his Syracuse Ny practice..

Dr. "Z" is a fantastic physician. He cares about his patients. He is very bright. Bring your kid to Dr. Z.

My overall experience with this child neurologist has been superlative. He is a caring, competent specialist, who is very thorough in how he assesses and manages his patients. He will go the extra mile to provide care.
