Dr. Cave is very personable and funny. He knows his stuff and his staff does as well. I enjoy each visit in his office and am thankful for his quality care.

I was able to see Dr. Cave as a referral through Victory Health Partners, a non-profit income based medical clinic for people who fall through the cracks of Obamacare & Medicaid. My consultation with Dr. Cave lasted maybe 10 minutes, significantly less time than it took me to wait in the lobby. My family has a history of cardiovascular problems starting in their 20s, some of which I have been experiencing in my 20s hence my reason for seeing Dr. Cave. After I explained my symptoms to him (which I could tell he didn't really listen to), he tried to soften the blow by assuring that as a patient I was his 1st priority but followed by saying b/c I was referred through Victory there was an issue with money. He insisted nothing was wrong with me other than that I "might be experiencing PVCs", something that can be effected by lots of things like diet, exercise and lifestyle choices(which he didn't even bother to ask me about). I have also had several "episodes" & my most recent one I had to be rushed to the ER & after explaining these episodes to Dr. Cave, he insisted that it was not a TIA(mini-stroke) but could not give any other explanation as to why my "supposed to be healthy 25 yr old" body was reacting in a way that it shouldn't be. He then again targeted my age and said "maybe I was going out and drinking too much with friends". It's VERY rare that I drink alcohol ( I drink water & non- caffeine drinks) which I indicated on my chart and also had to re-explain to him after he was trying to insinuate I was abusing alcohol. My mother who was in the room even had to speak up and defend me. He blew it off and continued to say I also "needed to lose weight" (I am not overweight BTW) I quit smoking a yr & a half ago and I have gained weight as a result of that. My heart issues started when I was a smoker & 20 lbs lighter and was why I made the choice to quit smoking. But Dr. Cave didn't know that b/c he was busy insulting me & hearing himself talk instead of caring for me 1st as a patient & establishing my health history. At this point, I was dumb founded at the way I was being talked to and treated. He then stated that "most people want pills & a magical fix-all for their problems and that they receive over-testing with little to no results in his office b/c they have insurance". He then reiterated my money issue for me & said he could "take my money" and let me wear a monitor from his office or a really expensive one that you wear for a month that he stated was not administered by his office but an outside company or he could "save me money and assure me that I was too young to have cardiovascular problems". (What about babies born who have to have immediate open heart surgery? hmm) My mother had to speak up again & say that b/c of her's & my grandmother's heart history was it wise to blatantly dismiss my symptoms and he still continued to insist nothing was wrong with me. Even his nurse who entered my chart into the computer was smarter than him & said before my consultation that based on my symptoms & family history that I would most likely have a monitor put on me. So my question is, If you are not going to treat patients seeking your help and instead judge them based on their referral status, income & insurance quality(or lack thereof) Why volunteer your services to a medical clinic such as Victory Health?? Why even be a cardiologist if your are not going to thoroughly review your patients chart & medical history and dismiss everyone of their symptoms? Would it take me having better health insurance or eventually having a heart attack/stroke to even get this mans attention?? To say the least my visit with Dr.Cave was uncomfortable, unpleasant, he was abrupt, rude and very very insulting & unprofessional. My review is long but I wanted to be thorough to shed light on encounters and discrimination such as these. I would also never seek his services again and would advise others in similar situations as me to find an alternative cardiologist!

Very nice, knew what he was doing, took time to listen and most of all got me feeling better. Would recommend him very much

Really talked to me and discussed what was going on and came up with some solutions and plans to follow up. I'm eighty and I've had a lot of doctors and I thought he was excellent.

I asked questions about my heart procedure, and his answers glaringly showed he didn't know what he was talking about. When asked he said "I didn't review your chart". How is a doctor supposed to gage a patients progress and reaction to treatment and answer questions if the doctor doing "Rounds" doesn't even review what treatment the patient had?

A liar! The poorest bedside manners I have ever seen! Very unprofessional. Rude and intimidating. Make him your last resort!
