I practically crawled into Dr Narayanans office. I was having trouble getting into the building, the manager and staff came out to help me. The surgeon took her time with me and was meticulous. Not to mention her bedside manner is impeccable! You can tell she was trained at Harvard. Not only is she compassionate but she’s a good doctor too and knows how to take good care of her patients. I felt safe with her. Only issue is Riverdale office isn’t easiest to get to, but worth it.

I would not take my dog to Dr Narayanan she has terrible bedside manners. Her office manager Danielle lies and gives you the runaround she did my surgery and after surgery she did not see me, that's very raggedy! thank God something told me to go see another surgeon dr. Selya at Doctors hospital he's the best he gets it done! Dr Narayanan thinks that just because people have Medicaid you can treat them any kind of way that's not how it works!

I went to Dr. Narayanan in horrible shape, losing strength, in constant pain and frightened by different diagnoses from two well-respected specialists. She was supposed to be the tie-breaker, but ended up providing the most accurate diagnosis. She educated me, assuaged my fears, operated quickly, and the results have been phenomenal. My quality of life has improved immensely - in a short amount of time. I highly recommend her as a surgeon. Phone calls and emails are not always returned promptly though... hence the "4-star" rating. Her staff is great - just busy, I guess.

Phone calls are never answered and voicemails are rarely returned. She is only in the office to see patients 2-3 days per week. Appointments have to be made nearly a month in advance because she is on vacation an entire week per month and she is hardly in the office. She is about 2-3 hours behind schedule with appointments.. no exaggeration. She is trying to work as a neurosurgeon AND a neurologist and failing horribly at managing time between the 2 tasks. If you are in the middle of an appointment with her and she gets called into surgery, you'll be left waiting another month to reschedule your appointment. She has to be reminded of the status of your health each time you see her because she simply doesn't remember everything. Appointments with her are rushed through as if you're just another ticket in the queue. Bottom line is she's an on-call surgeon and those tasks take priority over her post-op patients needs. Don't waste your time..

The best Neurological Surgeon. I fell and hit my head on the concrete, and was bleeding in the brain. She was able to bore hole in my head and drain the blood without any complication.

I thank god for dr narayanan , my legs became numb and i could only stand with someone supporting me.naturally i was scared to death.dr narayanan found three disc in my neck that were compressing my spinal cord. it has now been ten weeks since my surgery and i can walk again and improving more every week. i feel that i owe my life to dr narayanan. she explained the procedure to me and helped to calm my me down. thank you dr narayanan.

My first encouter with Dr. Narayanan, I was in the hospital with a maligant brain tumor, after suffering a seizure/stroke. She put me at ease immediately. She laid out all the options for dealing with my cancerous brain tumor. Reviewing the pro's and con's with me. I decided on brain surgery to remove the tumor and she did an incredible job in the surgery. Two weeks after the surgery, I had regained my dextrity in my hands and had full motor control. I was very thankful that Dr. Narayanan was able to do my surgery and I highly recommed her.

Dr. Narayanan is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered, especially at this day and age. She treated my 86 year old Mother with severe back pain and back issues in the most compassionate, knowledgeable way. She is an amazing diagnostician, and finally solved my mother's problem with a laminectomy, which really worked. She is old fashioned in many good ways, young and creative in her problem solving, and uses innovative strategies to resolve health issues that others would not even touch and give up on. I very highly recommend her and would definitely go to her with any neurosurgical issues that came up.

Decision to have Metrx surgery was a success. Now walking pain free!

Dr. Narayanan was so kind to me and treated me with the utmost care and concern. She gave me the time needed to figure out exactly what I needed and made sure I understood everything and all my options. I highly recommend her!!
