Dr. Manuel Ferreira Dasilva, MD

Dr DaSilva has been my doctor for 20 years. I had shoulder, elbows, wrist and soon to have hand surgery. He is the best and the only one I need. I highly recommend him and his team.

The wait time was obscene, nearly an hour. The tech that took my info wasn't great. She said well if your in pain all the time I need a number... The first doc (resident) that came in said everything ver-batum as what Dr. Dasilva said. Dr. Dasilva was pleasant, great bed side manner, offered options. Was not in a hurry with me at all. I was relaxed. He is great so far.

Tremendous professional and amazing responsive bed side manner. Another amazing University orthopedic doctor/surgeon!

Dr. DaSilva took care of my partially amputated finger; removed the cuticle and sculpted my finger to look as normal as it possible could without prosthesis. He also performed 2 CTR (carpal tunnel releases) as well as other procedures including taking care of a spiral fracture on my right arm. I would recommend Dr. DaSilva highly and would certainly go back should I have a problem. Thank you.

WHAT MORE CAN I SAY, A FANTASTIC SURGON, HID THE SCARS OF MY CARPAL TUNNEL SURGERY IN THE NATURAL LINES OF MY HAND. ALWAYS ON TIME, NEVER IN A HURRY WHEN HE IS SEEING YOU. TELLS YOU WHAT IS WRONG AND HOW HE WILL GO ABOUT TAKING CARE OF IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND UNIVERSITY ORTHOPEDICS.

I highly recommend Dr.Dasilva and his awesome staff. From his office staff to the surgical team they were all great. They were friendly and more importantly informative.I had a partial wrist replacement and I went from pain everyday to pain free almost immediately. I want to thank you again Dr.Dasilva.

Dr. Dasilva has done 3 nerve release surgeries for me. Very minimal scarring, smooth recovery. He also has a great bedside manner. Office staff is wonderful as well.

I've had 2 surgeries for Dupytren's Contracture with Dr. Dasilva. He is very attentive, and always answers questions with patience, and in lay terms. His PA, Paul Ramos, is excellent as well. Great experience, and have referred several other patients to him. Integrated team approach includes hand therapist Geraldine Racette. Overall, a great experience.

Dr Dasilva did a saphoid fracture repair in my wrist. To say I had a great experience is an understatement, everything from the diagnosis, treatment recommendations, surgery, post op care and hand therapy has been fantastic. Dr Dasilva and his staff treated me as an individual with my best interests in mind and the repair turned out fantastic, I barely have a scar despite the screw that was placed. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Dr. DaSilva performed elbow surgery on me 6 yrs ago and I had wonderful results.

I came to Dr DaSilva after another doctor was slow to schedule tests for a torn bicep injury. Dr DaSilva's secretary fit me in for an appointment the same day I contacted her and she scheduled a MRI the same day as well. I was operated on a week later. The surgery was a success. I have full use of my arm now because of the quick and expert surgery. Dr DaSilva and his staff are first class, I feel I owe my recovery to their fast action and will be forever grateful. On a scale of one to ten I rate them an eleven

The absolute BEST all-around! Dr. Dasilva is very fortunate to have Paul Ramos as part of this incredible team. I would go no where else! His staff is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Special thanks to Patty - who is always ready to greet with a smile and her infectious personality. Thank goodness Patty and Lisa were there on my visit to the Providence Dudley Street office ..... Without their encouragement and directions I don't know if I could have made it through the maze to get back to the parking garage!!! Each and every time I have been to his office - either East Greenwich or Providence - the professionalism of his staff and care never changes --- always top notch!!!

Dr. Dasilva is the nicest man he's great at what he does and he knows exactly what he's doing. But it's too bad about his staff, the ladies at the desk are liers and have horrible personalities I will never go there again because of them but its too bad because he was great. But the rudeness and disrepectfulness was disgusting. I do not wish for anyone to be treated like I did and also my family Extremely rude!!!!! Especially Lisa, they are both very unprofessional in everyway, they do not return phone calls so do not bother leaving a message and they will lie to you to cover their mistakes. I can't believe these ladies especially Lisa, she's horrible and has such an ugly personality. I'm sorry but i am usually very paitent and kind but when I go to a doctors appt. I do not need the attitude from the doctors staff. He would be the best doctor around if it wasn't for his front desk. They made nothing easy not appointments, not comfort or confidence. By far, of all my years I have never been treated so badly and to top it off at a doctors office. Never again. I wish nothing but the best for Dr. Dasilva and I pray that he is blessed with a kinder, more intelligent and attractive staff. God Bless you Doctor and all your success.

Had a complex bone break that required surgery. Both Dr DaSilva and his PA were attentive, professional, and took the time to explain the procedure. The office staff was equally competent and the surgery was scheduled and completed without a hitch. I would recommend Dr DaSilva and would definately return to him if I ever had another injury.

Dr Da Silva did a great job fixing my Tendonitis. I had bad pain in my thumb, and he tried cortisone and then when that didn't work, he surgically repaired it. He took time to explain to me what he was going to do, he listened to my concerns, and he was a very nice, approachable Doctor. 4 weeks after the surgery Im back to playing guitar and the scarring is not that bad at all. This guy is a pro!

OK, I realize that being a nurse, we can somtimes be difficult patients;however, when one's whole career is changed due to an injury at work, perhaps we hae the right to be a bit "difficult". All I can say is that Dr. DaSilva was wonderful, kind, caring and I would not have traded his professionalism and expertise for any other surgeon. Even though he was going through some very difficult times himself, he never made me feel as though I was "bothering" him with my many questions and sometimes tears. He was wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone that asked for an excellent hand surgeon. He is one of the most compasstionate surgeons I have ever met. Thank you Dr. DaSilva, for doing the best with what you had to work with. I owe what use I have of my hands to you!
