Dr. Manuel Jose Perez, MD

I was in dire straits with a blocked ureter after an ER visit. Dr. Perez moved me to the head of the OR schedule the next morning for an emergency ablation and stent procedure, and then followed up a week later for lithotripsey and stent removal. On the post-op, he provided me with stone analysis and diet changes. Great straight-forward, practical care. I feel like a new man with a plan!

I have chronic kidney disease. Went to see him and had CT scan of kidney. No sign of stones but had severe back pain. Sent me home with muscle relaxers. Two days later i am in the ER with 103.8 fever….huge UTI. Called his on call staff after hours was told they could not help me bc I was not a patient of their office and didn’t have access to my records (what is the point of having an on call doctor if they do t have access to your records).

I wish to thank Dr Perez for taking the time to explain and outline the treatment plan for my husband’s prostate problem. Though overwhelming as difficult diagnoses can be, his kind bedside manner instills confidence and his clear explanations gives us hope that all will be good . Thank you.

Excellent care

I think Dr. Perez is among the best I have ever seen. A very smart man that has the best bed side manner of any doctor I have ever seen. He had my problem pin pointed in no time. I am so very glad I was referred to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I don't know what everyone else's experiences with Dr. Perez were but let me just say, he is an amazing doctor. He listens, he goes into depth about what a medicines, procedures, etc. is. He knows how to lighten the mood and his staff is beyond gracious. He did a major surgery on me in 2012 and came in my room everyday, sometimes more than once just to see how I was. He is just the most polite person. I was never a fan of doctors but he changed that, and I will forever thank him. I would recommend him to anyone. And I've even seen him out in public and he still takes he time to stop and talk to me and ask how i've been!

A somewhat cavalier doctor who offers opinions outside his area of expertise. I was not impressed with his assessment of my mother's condition and will be looking for a different urologist in the future.

Office was very nice, staff helpful, and doc was great. would like to wait a little less, but he spent time with me in the room explaining everything in detail!

I think Dr Perez is a good urologist and he was highly recommended by our acquaintances on the island. He operated on my 10 year old son and it has yielded good results so far.

No call back (twice) when having a kidney stone attack. Wasn't aware that I've been a long time patient of his office and that he even wrote me a prescription. It is now two months and I still have not received the evaluation/analysis of my kidney stone. Regarding dietary changes for reducing kidney stones I got significantly more information on the internet than from Dr. Perez.
