Dr. Marcel E Lechin, MD

Dr. Lechin has been our family doctor for around 8 years. He has treated my daughter since the age of 14 when she was diagnosed with severe cardiovascular condition, she is 22 now and in very good condition with his care. He has treated mostly everyone in my family and he is always willingly to help and is actively caring for us. He is an excellent doctor who is very knowledgeable in his field. He is also very trustworthy and very involved in the care of his patients. He treats 5 people in my family and we are all so pleased with his care and how much he has done for our family. We really recommend him and his staff.

My first time visiting Dr. Lechin I waited about one hour before I was called. During that time, I remember another new patient who lost his temper at the wait and to whom another patient explained that if he knew how much Dr. Lechin cared about his patients, he would understand why he often was running behind schedule. She added that she would wait for Dr. Lechin whatever time it would take him to receive her. I found that episode very revealing and reaffirmed by my own experience. Dr. Lechin is the only cardiologists that I have seen taking the time to listen to and care about the problems of his patients. This certainly takes more than the 20min visit that we are used to in commercial health care. The rewards, however, are worth any wait. Dr. Lechin puts together a comprehensive patient study based in routine exams, carefully questioning the patient, and running tests as he finds out more about probable causes to each patient's case. I was impressed to see how careful he was with all details in diagnosing problems and later following up on them. Anyone who realizes how truly Dr. Lechin cares about your health becomes a faithful patient of him. My philosophy when I went to visit him was to free up a morning and take my work and laptop with me to wait until called while doing something useful. No problem on the wait. By the way, while in his waiting room you will always hear someone's story on how much they appreciate this wonderful man. He was my Dr. for 8 years until I moved almost a decade ago. I really miss his style and attention.

I have called 4 times without any responses.

After waiting hours, we finally saw Dr. Lechin. Almost 5 weeks later, we are still waiting for any type of results to be provided to us. We did not receive a phone call nor any report on paper. Left several messages. We are trying to be patient. Don't plan to go back.

Well over 2 hours of waiting without being told anything. They stick you in a room and you just wait. No lie over 2 damb hours

My testimony to family and friends for years has been that this is one of the rare doctors that still listen and sincerely cares for his patients. Five star doctor across the board. Thanks Dr. Lechin

Awesome Doc

Dr. Lechin is one of a kind. You will never find a doctor like him. I would like to start by saying that his staff is very friendly. I have a great experience with his nurses and physician assistants. When he is in a room with you he gives you his undivided attention and does not care about time. He will give you as much time as you need and would make sure that you understand thoroughly about your condition. He has not only saved my life but also my family and friends. The only downside is the waiting time, but you have to understand that this is due to him dedicating a lot of time per patient. If you are looking for a doctor to give you some pills and send you in and out, this is not the doctor for you. However, if you are looking for a doctor who truly cares about your health, then there is no better doctor than Dr. Lechin.

Difficult to get appointment and unreasonable wait time. He is very scattered and has trouble staying on task. He is an excellent physician, just too much trouble.

This is a very good doctor but he is way TOO busy! He has too many patients to be of any immediate or emotional help. It is a very aggravating and depressing situation to have to deal with this doctor. It makes one feel devalued as this is an assembly line type practice. Can't get in to see HIM unless it is an absolute emergency but otherwise one has to see the nurse or Philly his wife. My husband and I are both very grateful for this doctor's knowledge and help but we are downright disgusted that he is so unreachable and the appointments are hard to make and one has to wait sooooo long!

I had been seeing this Dr for some time, hoping that my problem would be diagnosed. It never was. I only so the doc once, after that I only saw his nurse practitioner. Never saw the doc again. The last appt. I had set up I arrived at the appt about 10 minutes early. Sat for an hour (not counting the early 10 minutes) finally asked if they front desk people knew when I would get in, they didn't know, I asked if they would check for me. I sat back down. After waiting another 25 minutes I asked again, come to find out they never checked the first time. In fact they were not going to check. When I told them I had to leave and that they wasted my sick leave they asked if I wanted to reschedule. I asked if it would take another hour and 25 minutes they told me they didn't know. Seriously! So I said no and left, I haven't been back since. When I called my credit card to cancel the transaction of the copay the card company had to fight with them. It all became a headache. I have stopped taking the meds the doc had me on and have not been back to see him. Evidently this does not have him too concerned no one from his office has called me to see how I am doing, if I am ever coming back, or why I have not come in for my yearly appointment. Everyone keeps telling me he is a really good doc. I haven't seen it. My problem has never been diagnosed and like I said, I have only seen the actual doc once. I think this is more of a situation of a big fish with a big head in a little bitty pond.
