Dr. Maria Cristina Mendoza

I've been seeing Dr. Mendoza for over three years, and I can't say enough good things about her as a physician. Not only has she helped me through the most difficult period of my life, she has consistently worked with me to find non-traditional treatments instead of forcing a "one size fits all" paradigm. She has a deep knowledge of psychology as well as psychiatry, which informs her practice. I recommend her to everyone I know who is going through a rough patch and is looking for help.

By far the worst psychiatrist I have ever seen. Displays little to no knowledge about the field and does not seem to care about her patients.

Dr. Mendoza is the most intelligent psychiatrist i've ever spoken with. Psychiatry as a medical practice is still in its infancy, meaning we don't know all there is to know about the medicines prescribed, but Dr. Mendoza knows practically all there is to know to date (mechanisms of action of SSRIs, SNRIs, DNRIs, atypical APs, TPs, tricyclics, MAOIs, etc. Not only is she adept in the pharmacology, but the psychology as well. Her vast knowledge, coupled with her caring personality, made me choose her as my Psychiatrist. I recommend her to anyone facing mental health issues.

Tries to get me out of the room as fast as possible. Not genuinely caring

A lack of rapport due, perhaps, to an off-standish manner. Somewhat intrusive, digs into personal matters. Lack of warmth. Confrontational.
