Dr. Marilyn Elizabeth Lachman, MD

I will say she was some what helpful for me at times but overtime my mental health rapidly declined and when I was most vulnerable she showed her true colors. She didn’t even know what medication I was on. Not to mention her staff is incompetent. I’ve been at the sign in slot and looked down and saw another patients file wide open. It’s common knowledge the majority of her patients see her or rather talk to her on the phone if that. It’s like pulling teeth to get this joke of a dr to even call. Everytime I talked to her I had to remind this lady who I even was. After 3 years I was fed up and after waiting FIVE hours at her office she finally called after I made a scene and argued w me on the phone. I literally left her office that night and attempted suicide with the narcotics she prescribed me. If you really want help she’s the wrong one! She’s so close to getting her license pulled and that isn’t speculation seeing the sources meaning multiple were very credible. It’s all about the money for this clown dr. Thankfully I ended up in a fantastic psych ward and got the help and after care I needed.

Dr. Lachman is beyond just being good at what she does. You can tell she really cares and she will tell you that she cares a lot!

Dr Lachman is a true blessing. Her ONLY downfall is her "office staff" they are more concerned with what they have going on then ANY patient needs. The phones are answered by an answering machine ONLY and calls are never returned no matter how many messages nor the level of severity! The ONLY way to get an appointment is to drive all the way to her office then just pray and be prepared to wait for the "staff" to take themselves away from their food, computer game, personal conversation or for them to just get plan tired of you 'bothering' them. You MIGHT be lucky enough to have an appointment made, you may be told you can sit and wait for an opening caused by a no show but most likely you will be told to come back the next morning at opening time and wait, possibly sitting for HOURS if not all day just to be seen. Dr Lachman is an amazing psychologist, very sweet and caring person whose practice would GREATLY benefit by firing family and hiring REAL staff willing to do their job!

I NEED to know her business hours before I go crazy, quit my job and commit suicide!!!

I loved her when I was a patient of hers but I’ve tried to get my medical records for over a year now can you get no one to answer the phone I have signed release papers and still can’t get my medical records sounds to me like this office needs an investigation

You know that something is wrong when the doctor score is 5 star but since ALL calls, no matter the time of day, go directly to a voicemail that seems to never have any of the messages returned rather than the phone calls going to actual pwrson, that lowers the score to next to null!!!!

She is a great Doctor and a wonderful person. My visits are always great with her. She will listen to whatever you got to say and doesn't rush you off to get to the next person. She really cares about her patients. She has to be the BEST Psychiatrist in Marshall County and easily in the Top 10 in Alabama. She has helped me more than any other Doctor I have ever seen.

I saw Dr mcintear first years ago and when he stopped practicing I started seeing his wife dr. Lockmon she is a very compassionate woman they are both very compassionate people and wonderful Dr as Dr mcintear is gone now dr. Lockmon is holding up very well and very professionally wonderful woman the staff aren't like regular staff they're just folks I go to the one in Albertville wouldn't change for all the world dr. Lockmon is a wonderful wonderful woman and Dr mcintear was awesome awesome man wonderful people truly

Well we walk in for our appointment. Not only was the staff so so rude but We waited for over 3 hrs. When she called me back she wouldn't let my husband in the office. I told her that my pops that raised me and passed away and that I couldn't get bc I was so angry. That I just needed a mood stabilizer to help. I have had mental illness since I can remember. It's almost uncontrollable at time. Bit, she prescribed me Nuedexta made me a guinea pig for her to get paid per trial..the medicine is for psuadebar syndrome. I do not have uncontrollable laughter crying or anger. I didn't sign a consent to take it she started me on the highest dose, upped my Pristiq from 50 mg to 100 mg, she also upped my kolonipan .25 mg to 1 mg. And my straterra from 40mg to 80mg. She made me take it all the next day well I first started hearing stuff and trying to commit suicide. She would not return my calls and I ended up havin to commit myself to get all the mess out of my system. Now I have serotonin syndrome and I'm crazy that is a I have to say.

Dr Lackmans staff is the most unprofessional staff I have ever incountered, her office is the nastiest and most unsanitary ever!! The waiting are has small space heaters and doesn't keep the room warm at all. I suggest waring many layers of clothing if you have to see her. If you need to contact the office it's best to go up there because you seldom get anyone to answer the phone and if anything is faxed it will definitely be lost. They charge outrageous prices on top of your insurance and if for any reason you cannot make your appointment it's an additional $25 the next visit. The staff is extremely rude at all times no matter how nice you try to be. This is the worst office I have ever had to deal with and needs to be turned into the state!

In the short time that I've been seeing her (about 4 months now), it's easy for me to say that she is both a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person! She is very kind, patient, and attentive, and doesn't cut you off during your session. She will answer any and all questions and concerns you have, whether it's about any particular medicine or condition, etc. My only problem with seeing her is the office staff. They can come across as abrasive and, at times, downright rude, but other times they're very nice and courteous. The past two visits, I had issues with their recordsâ??they had be down as having two "no-shows," for which I owed them a fee, not having paid them for any of my sessions thus far. Because of this, I'm *very* wary about the office staff there now... If I continue to have problems like this with them, I will be left with no choice but to find another psychiatrist... Dr. Lachman is such a wonderful doctor, and it would be extremely unfortunate to have to stop seeing her for this reason. But I figure that if seeing her means being more stressed by the office stave than I already am, then it's not worth it. Another thing to be mindful about is wait times. If your appointment is at 2:00, it could be 5:00 or later before you see her. While it's nice that she doesn't cut your sessions short, it also means longer wait times. It's well worth it in my opinion... Once you have your intake session, it's very easy to make emergency work-in appointments (the first time I called they had me in that same afternoon, the second time they had me in the following week). I would ***definitely*** recommend her to anyone, just with the caveat that their office staff can be quite an inconvenience to reckon with, and the wait times tend to be very long.

She is the best Doctor that I have ever come across. She really seems to care about what your going through and doesn't look down on you. She has really helped me find my way in this crazy world. She takes the time to listen to me and address any questions or concerns I have. She doesn't do the typical routine of questions and answers, she doesn't act robotic as if she is reading off what to say or do. She has been an inspiration in my life and has not only helped me but helped my family as well. God Bless this woman. I know that if she is such a great addition to my life that she is doing the same thing for the others that she comes into contact with.

Absolutely the best! She truly cares. I would trust her with my life, or my childrens lives. I adore this wonderful Woman.

Both she and her husband are great doctors. They seem to actually care about their patients, and that is very unusual. I am never rushed or feel like i'm just another number. I love them both, and would highly recommend.
