Our 2 year old developed strabismus and we were very concerned as glasses weren't correcting the problem. Doctor Steele performed surgery on our son and it has made a world of difference! He was wonderful with our son during office visits as well as the surgery and made him feel very comfortable. The surgery went great and he looks amazing. You'd never guess he had an eye issue. We are very happy we found Dr. steele!

He was clear in helping my wife and I understand our infant son's condition, and made us feel completely comfortable with his prognosis and plan to improve our son's vision. As a 64-year old patient, I found the whole experience, from initial consolation to post-surgical examination, to be excellent. I felt very well informed throughout the process. Dr. Steele and his staff spent a fair amount of time with me on the initial examination, as well as just prior to undergoing surgery and following the procedure. Dr. Steele was thorough and clear in his communication, he has and engaging and positive attitude, and most importantly, the surgery was everything I hoped for. His office was very pleasant and the surgical location was very much like a first-rate hospital. His very attentive and friendly staffs, both at the office and outpatient facility, were top-notch. I couldn't recommend Dr. Steele more highly.

This is the best experience a child and parent can ever have at any kind of Dr. let alone an eye dr where you never know what your child really can see or not see. Dr. Steele is an amazing diagnostician and superb doctor. His bedside manner is incredible with both children and parents alike. Dr. Steele diagnosed my daughter within 15 minutes of having 3 different ailments after taking her to other doctors and her pediatrician. Please don't retire!

As a father with 2 young sons needing glasses, I highly recommend Dr. Steele. Each visit I appreciate the time he spends to complete a thorough exam and to explain to me the diagnosis and his plan. I have been to other ophthalmologists before meeting with Dr. Steele and am very happy we switched to Dr. Steele. His office staff are all helpful. We travel to see him, but it is worth the trip.

Dr. Mark A. Steele is the epitome of what a doctor should be. The most important of all is that his expertise is only overshadowed by his genuine care and interest in his patient.

Our son had not been able to see a single image for more than 10 months by the time that we arrived in Dr. Steeleâ??s office. Previous doctors had been reticent to diagnose his situation and the process of trying to find a solution was as exhausting as the underlying issue, particularly for our 7 year old son We saw Dr. Steele, who was recommended by a couple, both physicians, on whose two sons Dr. Steele had operated successfully. They had (with far more knowledge than we) done their due diligence and chosen him out of all the surgeons with whom they had met. Itâ??s clear why. Dr. Steele is not only confident in his abilities, without any arrogance, but he is also seasoned, sure footed and gentle in his approach. Our first meeting him was so easy, fluid, definitive, and provided an immediate path for us to follow â?? surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks later. Itâ??s important to note that equal to Dr. Steeleâ??s skill and expertise was the office environment and the caliber of EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON HIS TEAM. We must have spoken and or interacted with over 15 people who worked on our sonâ??s case in one way or another â?? from scheduling the initial appointment to the scheduling of the surgery â?? it was flawless. Everyone was polite, kind, efficient and eager to make the process easy for us. It was like nothing I have ever experienced and I spent 3 years by fatherâ??s side battling his cancer, so sadly my exposure to physicians and their teams has been widespread in this city and others. Our sonâ??s surgery was a success and at the two week mark we were told to return in a year and Dr. Steele â??hoped that he would be the person to whom we would return.â?? After 10 months of no answers, a solution from start to finish in one month. But I think that the most important idea I can convey about Dr. Steele and his team, is that we were never nervous. There was a risk that the surgery would not have worked and I still felt confident that our partnership with him would eventually yield a positive outcome, even if not immediately. Having that faith in your childâ??s physician is priceless. Finally, and not least importantly â?? the facilities, equipment and offices themselves. Beautiful, clean, modern, inviting. Our two children loved going to his office so much, that getting them out was painful and our son is disappointed that he wonâ??t be going back for a year. I wish we had called him sooner. But I am glad that I can at least tell others to not wait as long as we did.
