Dr. Mark Dayton Herron, MD

Problem is I could not get a “visit” after being a patient for over 20 years. All I could get is a two to three week appointments on two occasions. I felt I needed some attention on a spot that appeared on my hand. Went to another dermatologist after 20 years going to Dr Herron and sure enough spot was cancerous. If you look at the office’s new profile on the web it will explain what they won’t perform anymore. It appears that the office has “outgrown me” and perhaps a number of other patients in favor of more expensive procedures such as Botox treatments and other detmatology issues! I am not going to risk my life to enhance the “bottom line” of Dr. Herron. His office staff no doubt has had the new profile explained to them. Today when I called to cancel the appointment and say that I am severing all ties with the office the appointments person calmly and without question said”okay”. She never asked why and no doubt didn’t care. Unfortunately, Dr. Herron and Dr Kelly have been the top dermatology office to visit and have been a professional team to be admired over the years. Today it appears that “things are a changin’ and I for health reasons will be changin’ too!

I have seen Dr Herron for a few years now and would recommend his practice to anyone looking for a dermatologist. He and his staff always make me feel comfortable and understood.

Dr. Herron is the very BEST! My husband and myself see him regularly for our body checks. It was on one of those appt that he found the Melanoma on my husbands shoulder! When I tell you it looked like nothing it did but Dr. Herron recognized it and biopsied it immediately! We are so grateful for his expertise! You need to see a Dermatologist regularly. There is so much they can help you with to protect your health! Dermatologist are not just for acne! Make an appt. with Dr. Herron and let him help you protect yourself!

I have struggled with psoriasis for years. It covers my entire body. I have been ashamed to go in publix. Dr. Herron came in and immediately told me he could take care of me. Within 2 weeks, my psoriasis was nearly gone. He is so nice. His staff are friendly. I think he is the best doctor for psoriasis.

Dr. Herron treated my melanoma and did an excellent job! I’ve now been going to him for five years and he’s always been efficient and thorough. He allays all my concerns and I highly recommend him. He even makes dietary recommendations that have helped.

I live in North Carolina but was vacationing in Alabama when I noticed large skin masses on my hand and knee. I went to the hospital and was referred to Dr. Herron, and he was kind enough to work me into his schedule quickly to remove the skin masses. He was very professional and accommodating and did a great job with the surgeries.
