The process was fluid with minimal time from registration to medical background check to X-Ray. Dr Hollmann was welcoming as always. Gave me his assessment of the X-ray and gave me a knee injection to ease pain. Was supportive of me using a knee brace.

I felt very comfortable and in good hands meeting Dr Hollman for the first time. I admired his confidence. Im looking forward to not having hip pain anymore.

He sees these all the time, and I need a total hip replacement. He hands me a card for a surgeon referral and goes about his business. That's what I took from the meeting. I'll admit I was in shock and may have missed something. However, I have no recollection of discussing the nerve damage and deep vein thrombosis risk. Then, I logged into the patient portal and got a more detailed explanation, including the risks. It's too bad not everyone sees the patient portal assessment and plan section. It seems a little misleading.
