Dr.Cook is an excellent Physician. Who listens and is empathetic understanding and truly cares about his patients well being. He remembers "Do no harm" of his Hippocratic Oath!

Dr Cool has been our family physician for over 15 yrs and is like family. I won't change Dr's. He listens and really cares. He has helped us they some scary times. Love him.

Dr. Cook has been my doctor for over twenty years. He is thorough and compassionate. I know that he puts his patients first, and is an excellent diagnostician. Reading the other reviews makes me sick; a man who has had three kidney transplants yet continues to practice and heal others is the kind of doctor that I want in my corner! He understands illness because he has lived it, yet continues to provide service to others. Regarding being "forced" to pay a co-payment, what planet does that patient live on?

While doctor cook is no way a bad doctor or person, it is his office staff that would make it impossible for me to recommend anyone to his practice. We have had numerous problems with his staff failing to call in prescriptions, hanging up on us., yelling and being completely rude and unprofessional.

My appointment time was scheduled at 2:15 pm, they told me to arrive early to fill out paperwork. I got there about 2 pm and was completely ignored by the receptionist, she finally acknowledged me without even looking at me. I sat in the waiting room from 2:05 until 2:50! Once I was finally taken back into the room, the nurse went through her routine (she was the only decent one working there) and the again had me wait. I wait in the exam room until 3:35 before I finally found a nurse and asked how much longer. She went and got the doctor right away and brought him in, he was nice and all but seems to be way over due for retirement! I told him what had been going on and he proceeded to ask me the same questions another 2 times! He was very aloof and even told me he didn't know what to tell me! You're the doctor! I came here for your advice and you have nothing to tell me! He wrote me a quick prescription and said I could go, didn't listen to my heart or anything! Worst experience all around I've ever had! Will never return there ever!!!

I agree with others regarding the receptionist, but I am not going to give a doctor a rating based on a receptionist's manners or the lack thereof. A receptionist can be replaced and are dime a dozen. Great doctors are hard to find and cannot be replaced. I started seeing Dr. Cook a few months ago and have had many follow-up visits since. All experiences with Dr. Cook and the nurse have been 100% positive. Dr. Cook is very thorough and takes his time. I have never sensed his urgency to leave the room for the next patient. Many years of experience and a great doctor so smile at the nurse on your way back and be healed!

Excellent diagnostician

I have been seeing Dr. Cook for 10 years without a problem. I go about once a year. Now he has a new receptionist/front office person. She is the rudest person I have ever encounter in my life. Not only is she rude but she is mis-informed and unprofessional. Now apparently Doctor Cook's wife is running the office and requiring you to pay for all services and office visits in full if you havent met your deductible. Do yourself a favor and go else where. It is not worth the hassel. There are plenty of other doctors in this county.

Dr. Cook and all of his staff were very professional. I had been looking for a primary care physician for about 2 years. I am sure I have found one I will be able to remain with for a long time.

I made an appt. with Dr. Cook for my husband. I did read a few reviews before hand. Read about the staff not so good but decided to give them a chance anyway. Wow what a mistake! My husband went in filled out paper work & then the most rude & unprofessional receptionist informed him since we had not met our deductible we would have to pay full office price! Never heard of such crap! We have good ins & I thought that was what copay's were for! Not only did she say it so rudely. She did it in front of other patients at counter! There is a such thing as Hipaa!!! My husband was not about to pay that since he has ins so he just left office! Never got to meet Dr. Cook but he needs to replace his receptionist ASAP!!!!!

Called about getting my records and the lady who answered the phone had a terrible attitude and hung up on me. I was shocked. I always treat people with respect and was very taken aback by this exchange. I will be looking for another practitioner. There was no cause for that.

Tried to use this physician. Staff put me on hold for 15 ,minutes and I finally hung up. Faxed my request. Never heard back. they were rude to my husband who is a current patient. Looking for another doc.

Dr. Cook is great! I drive more than an hour each way to maintain him as my primary physician.
