Dr. Mary Elizabeth Bissell, MD

I met Dr. Bissell in the hospital ER where I was instructed to go by my oncology hematolagist for uncontrolled bleeding on blood thinners. Dr. Bissell started out well with, "What can I do for you?" However, she proceeded to interrupt me, tell me what I was thinking (even though I had just stated something very different), and then tell me she couldn't do what I wanted (which was not what I wanted). Through another hospital staff member, she offered me a referral to her gyno colleague though she had previously told me directly that the gyno appointment I already had was not so far away. Frankly, I would never accept an invitation closer in to her circle due to her rude & unprofessional behavior. When one of my requests was related to hematology, she abruptly informed me she could not make that decision. What I wanted was for her to coordinate care with my hematologist - considering that I have a genetic blood disorder. It appears that she did not want to do that either. Very poor care.

Dr. Bissell tried to sell me her Juice Plus products right from her medical office. Terribly unprofessional!

I can absolutely recommend Mary Bissell to anyone who needs to see a doctor and prefers visits in a relaxed, nurturing, and fun atmosphere.
