Dr. Mathew Joseph Cosenza, DO

He did the surgery, a septoplasty, six months ago. I have had no relief of symptoms, he prescribes medications that cause massive side effects and he's arrogant. "No one gets worse," he says. "I have had eight of these surgeries." Kind of a contradiction of the last statement, huh? And that picture is at least 20 years old because now he looks rode hard and put away wet, with greasy long hair. Never will he lay another hand on me and If I could figure out how to do it I'd have his license to practice. He or any of his staff took time to explain the surgery, the risks the complications... "QUACK, QUACK, QUACK"

I seen him when he was in Chillicothe, Ohio, I kept having ear infections all the time. My family Dr. referred me to him. he was so rude, no bedside manners, just a nasty person. I wouldn’t refer anyone to him, not even my dog.

Had nose surgery and my life is now a nightmare. Decided to do something experimental on me without telling me he hadn’t only done it on TWO other patients and only found out because a nurse let it slip. I’m going to have to go through more extensive surgery at a different dr and pay an extra 6000 out of pocket to fix my nose shape he messed up (didn’t even get a rhinoplasty!) and go through more painful healing and take time off work and get a babysitter when I’m a single parent. My face has more problems than when I even started! If this can help just one person it’ll be worth it. I was terrified of getting nose surgery around here and exactly what I was afraid of and worse happened. On top of everything he also had me in excruciating pain cleaning my nose and I begged him to stop (almost vomiting and passing out crying ) and he didn’t listen. DO NOT go here

I personally have not had him as a doctor but my husband did. My daughter and grand daughter has seen him. He knows his stuff. He has a great bedside manor. Great sense of humor. I would refer everyonre to him.My husband and daughter had sinus surgery and my grand daughter had her tonsils out. Great recovery times.He is a very caring and honest doctor. Doctors like him are hard to find.

Wonderful Dr. Always very courteous and took time to explain everything he would be doing. He has been my Dr. for 9 yrs and has helped me through some very rough times with my trach.

Dr. Cosenza and I discussed medication, which I decided against. He offered a perscription to help a sluggish thyroid. I declined. 2 months later, I called back to see if I could change my mind, or would I need to be retested. His nurse returned my call to say that Dr. Cosenza says that he never ever discussed meds or perscriptions with me and that there is nothing wrong with me. How insulting. Wouldn't it suffice to just say he woud have to retest, without insulting me? I am not a pill taker and certainly not a pill seeker. I work hard and pay my bills. I really am offended by this treatment.

Surgery for sleep apnea, he worked on sinuses and throat. Four weeks after surgery, breathing much better, no snoring, sleeping with cpap machine. Feel and breathe better than in years.

wonderful with children

After sinus surgery over 6 months ago, still having major problems, miserable allergies, had asked if this would be after surgery, told probably not. Undecided if surgery helped.Have had three infections since, miserable with all other allergy stuff going on, possibly helped breathing some, unsure

I will say that if it were not for Dr. Cosenza I would be completely deaf today. Dr. Cosenza is the reason I have the hearing that I do. He diagnosed my problem and got me the correct medicine that I needed. The follow up visits were scheduled according to my schedule which made it easier to be able to make it. I have recommended Dr. Cosenza to everyone I know and I will continue to do so. The staff are awsome and they remembered my name after almost a year of seeing him. I could not ask for a better doctor.

Dr. Cosenza really cares about his patients. He was totally focused on diagnosing and fixing my problem. He recommended I have sinus surgery because of multiple sinus infections and excruciating headaches. 6 weeks after surgery I am practically headache free for the first time in 22 years! He also put tubes in both my children's ears and they are doing fantastic.I would recommend him to ANYONE in need of his services. Thanks Dr. Cosenza!
