Dr. Matthew Thomas Provencher, MD

Dr. Provencher is AWESOME. I went to Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies, had an MRI, and the Doctors there told me my shoulder could NOT be repaired. They told me to seek out someone who could do the SALVAGE operation (superior capsular reconstruction). Luckily I did just that, and found the Steadman Clinic. Dr. Provencher not only FIXED it (in the 85% percentile) without the salvage operation, he fixed it in such a way that I had zero pain after surgery. I am 10 weeks post surgery, and haven't had 10 minutes of pain in 10 weeks. My Physical Therapist said that's because of the surgeon (Dr. Provencher). If you follow his advice to the tee, I trust your surgery will be equally successful. Even if you don't live up in the mountains, GO SEE HIM. A few drives into the mtns will be worth it. Don't settle for any surgeon, go see the best one in Colorado. Disclaimer: another reason I had zero pain was all the high quality CBD I used post surgery (potent flower and oil), plus the ice machine. Definitely do the ice machine.

My knee surgery outcome was not good from this Doctor. I am over a year and a half from surgery now.

Dr Provencher did a remove and replace of a hemicap implant for both of my shoulders. One shoulder had been repaired by another Dr., a year ago. It Never healed. I contacted Dr. Provencher, and he Did what was necessary to correctly repair my left shoulder. Three months later, he repaired my right shoulder the Same way. I’m only 3 weeks out from my right shoulder, and I have to remind myself to be easy on it. I was Used to the pain that I had previously had, so now I have to be careful not to overdo it, because it felt better shortly after surgery, than it has in a long time. Thanks, Dr Provencher!

Surgery was unsuccessful. After months of telling them it wasnt working, I have too much swelling, take an MRI, blah blah blah I finally went to get a second opinion and low and behold I should’ve had surgery months ago! Now I might have permanent nerve damage running all the way down my leg. Would not recommend!!

Dr. Provencher spent 40 minutes with me in clinic while explaining my condition and considering what is the best treatment for my knee injury. He decided to perform a complex multiligament knee reconstruction. I am 7 months out and recovery is going great! All the best!

Doc. Provencher is the best! He is the second doc I've seen and decided not to operate on my shoulder. He talked to me and explained very well my condition. I ended up having a physical therapy and the pain is gone. I'm so happy!

I had seen multiple other doctors and he took great care of my complicated cartilage and ligament problem. He spent time with me and explained all very well. Just the best

Doc Provencer is awesome. Always explains the problem, solution, recovery,chances of failure on a procedure, extended care, etc... He is the best Doc I have ever been too. I had a major surgery to correct a problem from an IED. His care has allowed me to do things I haven't done in over 6 years. Every other Dr I went to had no clue what to do. Again, he is awesome.J
