Dr. Meena Mehta, MD

Saw Dr. Mehta 2.5 months ago, after waiting 6 weeks. Not a great listener, but I think one of her solutions might have worked. She said she'd call me the next day with a prescription and to tell me what equipment to buy. I've heard nothing, despite calling her receptionist several times. Obviously a 100% waste of time and money.

I went to her office 5 times total - the only time I met with the doctor herself the only examination for apnea she did was to repeat the 5 question level of sleepiness survey my pcp had given me, while she quite literally rested her foot that she dropped a box on. I never saw her for an appointment again. Each time I met with the NP instead who, while had an OK bedside manner, was also clearly poorly equipped to handle my case. CPAP didn't work for me - as I later found out from another doctor - my airway is way too small. Wasted over a year going to her with no results. Find yourself a doctor who will actually examine her patients!

Dr. Mehta is caring and listened to my fears and concerns and explained my condition thoroughly. She made me feel better about my condition. I had questions after my appointment and called the office. Dr. Mehta called me in the evening to answer my questions. She is very thorough, knowledgeable and provides an excellent patient-doctor relationship. I would recommend her to anyone with pulmonary issues.

Horrible communication.

The staff in the office is amazing- they went out of their way to get me my cpap machine so quickly because I needed it right away. I felt very taken care of and considered by the girls in the office. I will definitely recommend to anyone I know who needs help from people who actually care.

I waited a very long time to see Dr. Mehta. She was not helpful and dismissed me. No apologies for making me wait 35 minutes. I will not return again.

She appears to understand your sleeep issues but it's very hard to reach her and get messages across. Tried calling today, phone just rings and rings. Also had numerous issues with her staff figuring out my insurance where different people called asking same questions... right hand not in sync with left. Medical side of the office is good. Administrative side, not really.

She treated me like an untouchable.

Basically abandoned me after giving me a diagnosis of severe sleep apnea. Rude with no apparent reason. Must hate me, my insurance, or something else about me, or just hate her job which she refuses to do. I could be dead for all she cares. First appointment she sai d "So you started to care about your health." Sarcastic and mean. I had just received a diagnosis of type two diabetes and am obese. I suspected I had sleep apnea and was referred to her by my pcp. She perfunctorily set me up with a company that fitted me for a cpap. It didn't work for me, and after that the follow up appointment with her never happened, as I had to cancel, then she cancelled, and finally at the last minute late on a Friday, her office called to change a next-Wednesday appointment to the preceding Monday. I wasn't able to reach anyone at her office until Monday to say I could not come that day. She never followed up, and basically her office abandoned me. Nearly a year later, I still have the cpap machine, the company never sought payment from me (perhaps they think I died in my sleep, lol). She abandoned me near the end of the year, and at the beginning of the next year, she is no longer a provider for my insurance. I spoke to my pcp about her negligence, and he bluntly admitted that it was probably related to the fact that my insurance is not so good (i.e., that it is a partially subsidized, level three Obamacare plan). I still have the cpap which I can't use. I have found a new doctor at last. If I had died while under her (non)care, it would have been a medical malpractice case.

I love the staff and Dr. Mehta. They have a great friendly dynamic among them and made me feel that my care was very important to them.

I went to this doctor for a consultation for sleep apnea. The Framingham office looks like an adult film set with made old fashioned beds in the waiting room. The doctor was nice but everything seemed unorganized and no one really knew what was going on. They provided me the at home sleep apnea machine which didn't work and didn't look sterile. I was turned off by the whole experience and decided to not pursue treatment with this practice. After this process the office is unable and unwilling to provide an itemized receipt that I need for my flex spending account. They are "accommodating" this by typing my info on letterhead. I will see if my flex spending accepts this but if not, I will be paying out of pocket. I would go to one of the other numerous sleep specialists in the area to avoid a headache.

I am a patient of Dr. Mehta. She also treats my family. In my experience Dr. Mehta is knowledgeable, thorough, and caring. She takes no chances with your health and covers all bases. I find that she takes the overall health of a person into consideration, including the emotional well-being of those she treats. I would recommend her unequivocally to all interested in quality, comprehensive care.

Didn't spend much time talking about the diagnosis and provided no supporting data. I asked just one question and got a minimal answer. I was in the office just a couple of minutes. Her staff was very nice though, especially the secretaries and the respiratory therapist.

Been with Dr.Mehta more then 15 years and she has provided me excellenct service and I highly reccomend her.

She's sweet and knows her stuff. I'm glad to call her my doctor. I feel very comfortable telling her anything and have confidence that she will be able to help me.

I would never recommend Dr Meena Mehta to anyone. I feel she is not really concerned with her patients care and well being. She has a degrading attitude and does not listen to what your problems you are experiencing. Her office staff is a complete joke!! If you call with a question or concern you're given the same generic response....someone will get back to you...only to find you are sitting there waiting for the phone to ring and it never does! After a call back to the office, it's either they forgot or someone didn't give them the message. If you're a patient of Dr. Mehta's now, I suggest you HURRY and get yourself a new doctor ASAP. If you are considering Dr. Mehta, please save yourself a lot of headaches and look elsewhere, you'll be glad you did!!
