Dr. Megan Michele Mccauley, MD

Dr. McCauley is a fantastic dr. My first appointment she walked me through my test results and very calmly gave me the steps forward. The wait time to be seen was minimal and her nurse was the BEST, love her!

Dr. McCauley explains my medications and how to take them. She keeps a close check on my bone density and explains the testing well. She answers all my questions. I am confident that she is giving me great care and I trust her and highly recommend her.

Dr McCauley has my total confidence. She explains the test results in clear concise language. She is very knowledgeable. She developed a long term treatment program and monitors my progress carefully. She has a delightful sense of humor that makes the regular visits a pleasure.

Dr. Megan McCauley is very caring for her patients. She is very knowledgeable & she will sit down with you and go over everything with you. If you are diabetic she does the foot exams herself instead of having a nurse do it in a separate visit. I'm so blessed to have found her to have Dr. McCauley is a wonderful doctor.

I have never met or been treated by an incompetent doctor, until I was treated by Megan McCauley. She exhibited some pretty bizarre behavior and constantly contradicted herself in regards to what she thought my diagnosis was (even though I was diagnosed 8 years ago by specialists in the field and confirmed by other specialists). I am genuinely concerned for her other patients. I am so glad I got out when I did and that I had enough wherewithal to seek a second opinion.

Worst md I have ever met I been in health care over 20yrs and have never seen such a poor md visit with such a noncaring non explaining doctor ever. my daughter had had blood sugar for 600 for past 4 weeks amd we have no idea how long she had it and I had to beg to get her some medicine explaining my daughter lived alone 2hrs from any family amd scared it is affecting her organs she finally says she will give her flex pen so ahe doesn't receive nervous calls everyday . it took everything I jad to get an assault charge. This is after it took 4 weeks to get in to see her Md nurse was also very hateful never once showed us how to use flex pin or how often to monitor b.s. or when to come back useless go somewhere else

I was referred to Dr. Mccauley because my Dr seemed to think my thyroid/Pcos per her findings. I walked in and was greeted nicely but that faded extremely quick. I was told to explain my issues and she went over my labs. She blew off every issue that I named. Being completely tired all the time -her answer not enough sleep ( I sleep around 7-8 hours a night so not the issue). Having a hard time losing weight- her answer I dont exercise enough. she then went on to tell me that she exercise for at least 1 hour a day. ( I hardly ever have a chance to sit down. I have 2 children, and I babysit 2 baby's, take care of the house etc, and work out 30 mins a day.) Possibly not enough exercise? agreed but when im constantly so tried its hard to do any more. Then she completely blew off my concern about pcos. Mainly because I have 2 children. I had to beg her to run other test. They came back within range BUT on the higher side thus should have been looked into more according my new enod. Basically I just wanna warn everyone that she wasted my time and money. I'll never go back to her.

I had a new patient visit with Megan McCauley, and she was just wonderful. She listened, was upbeat, personable, and has a plan of action for what I need. She was beyond expectations, and I'm so glad I found her.

You will be much happier if you visit a different doctor for your thyroid. I will be finding another endocrinologist. She didn't explain her rationale for lack of treatment and she speaks too loudly.

If you're looking for brusque, by the lab results only, treatment for hypothyroid, this is the physician for you. No full panel testing unless you beg and then it's pooh-poohed as overkill and unnecessary. Will only use synthetics for treatment. No natural thyroid replacements are prescribed and she's dismissive when they're discussed and puts down physicians that utilize natural replacements. Prefers to prescribe t4 only, will begrudgingly prescribe t3 and is negative about it. Any treatment out of her very narrow box is denied as not comfortable for her and she specifically said she only treats to "standard of care" There are many other treatments available that adequately and safely work hand in hand with t4; it's a shame that thyroid treatment is not her niche. From other reviews it seems she may be good for diabetes care. All I know is that as soon as my insurance changes I'm running far and fast. I've never felt so ill while theoretically being "treated" for hypothyroidism. It's horrid.

Dr Mccauley is the rudest physician I have ever seen. She totally lacks any bed side manner, she comes across very arrogant and non caring about how I feel on a daily bases. She even put down other of her colleges credentials (not in so many words, but got her point across). Needless to say I would not recommend her to anyone that has a thyroid issue! Guess I'll be seeking another Endocrinologist.

I have called Dr McCauley's office and the nurse got back with me saying she would contact Dr McCauley. It took 3 weeks for them to get back to me. She doesn't care how the patient feels just goes by numbers and not willing to try other options. Does not go over ultra sounds or blood work with the patient. I'm not trying to get any narcotics I'm just trying to get treated for my thyroid. Not going back to this doctor.

Dr McCauley is a great Endocrinologist. She was very thorough and took all the time I needed. She explained everything very well and helped me understand everything that's going on with my diabetes. She and her staff are very kind and welcoming. The wait time was short both in the lobby and exam room.

Megan and her staff are absolutely fantastic! She has helped me immeasurably with my diabetes.
