Dr. Ackland and his entire staff in Dedham is a very efficient and competent crew. My every visit was very comforting. Elvira was very courteous and respectful. Patrick Evans was always knowledgeable.

Dr Ackland performed surgery on my right shoulder.. His staff is very helpful in getting you through the process, appointments are easily made - phone calls are returned in a reasonable amt. of time . follow ups after the surgery were within 2 days...... i'd recommend Dr. Ackland .... he's extremely knowledgeable, professional and an excellent surgeon [ I drove 250 miles for his services with no regrets]

Dr. Ackland is an outstanding surgeon!! He performed surgery on my left labrum and bicep. It has been a little over 5 months now. I feel great and range of motion is almost 100%. I'm getting stronger every day. I believe I'm going to recover 100%. Thanks Dr. Ackland great job!

Extremely happy with this surgeon I had the left shoulder repaired by him and when it came time to do the right shoulder I knew right where to go. He got me back to 100% and back to work at a very physical job.

Dr Ackland performed arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips and repair a damaged meniscus in my right knee about 20 years ago. To date, I have had no additional problems with my knee, and have had no change an normal activity. His work was excellent. Thank you Dr Ackland.

Best surgeon money can buy, DR. Ackland fixed me when three other Dr. pushed for knee replacement, Was operated on by another Dr. and I was on pain medication for a year ,also on a cane and crutches , excellent surgeon, after DR. Ackland operated I walked out of recovery with no cane or crutches and no pain medication for constant pain. Now i can live again , thought I would never walk right again. thanks again DR. Ackland would recommend to any one.

I had an injury last year and had no idea who I should see for an orthopedic surgeon. The pain was beyond terrible. I had no idea what was wrong and if I needed surgery who I should go to. I am so lucky that I chose Dr. Ackland. From his diagnostic ability,surgery skills to post operative follow up care, Dr. Ackland is number ONE. I had multiple tears to my rotator cuff and my bicep had actually detached. His assistant (Alexander), is caring, compassionate and motivating. The entire staff is amazing. I will tell you, I was really scared. John and the entire staff checked on my progress post op periodically and whenever I called, my questions and concerns were answered.I met many patients in the waiting room that had unsuccessful surgeries with other surgeons and were now finally feeling great due to the fact that Dr. Ackland had now operated on them. Dr. Ackland is brilliant! There are no words to express how very grateful I am. If you are suffering from an injury and you need an orthopedic surgeon, than he is the go to guy. If I could rate Dr. Ackland and his staff beyond 5 stars I would. My advice from a patients view.........don't look any further.
