Dr. Michael Donald Danko, MD

Everyone was nice the 3 yrs I was there.but 4 mths ago I was called for pill count.i had a flat and I couldn't get a ride until 3 and takes 45 minutes to get there.she wanted me there by 3.whicg they don't close till 5? And I wasn't told I could go to local pharmacy.i could've gotten a ride across the bridge! Because of that I have to find another Dr! That's not a caring Dr to me

I went here for almost three years and I got treated poorly as far as anyone there being compassionate with anyway about me and my life and what I’ve been thru with surgeries and the level of pain I’ve had for 25 years, I mean my drug screen got mixed up once with somebody else and they pretty much accused me of not having any of my medication in my system but other medications that I have never taken! I never had a bad urine screen not one single time, My next visit wasn’t an apology that I was right about it getting mixed up and that they made a mistake , instead it was more like well mistakes happen! Even the mistake of me knowing the persons name that my urine got mistaken to be and the same with their urine with me!! There is this law called “Hippa” Well, Mistake’s do happen so if I were to make a mistake then that’s a whole different story! I went to an appointment a few days short on one of my medications (so they said,) it was totally clear that I wasn’t but they didn’t want to hear anything I had to say! they couldn’t give me not one minute of their time for me to ask how they came up with what they did, and that included the dr. They did not want to hear anything at all from me! Just told me that they couldn’t help me any longer! They don’t care about anyone of their patients, there are hundreds of people that go there between the 3 or 4 practices that dr Danko has, I’m just one more person that doesn’t mean anything to them!! It’s really sad that you have to get treated in a way that shows you just how they really feel and maybe it’s because injections don’t help me so therefore I didn’t get them, I honestly don’t know but to keep lowering your medications time and time again doesn’t really make things better on your everyday life and what it all intells, they have no idea what you as a person does on a day to day basis, the pain that you have to endure because there is no compassion whatsoever from anyone there! I hope that I can find a pain management where there just might be a dr patient relationship as far as showing some kind of compassion and understanding of what someone that deals with chronic pain and has for many years really has to deal with! I had a dr for many years that did exactly that but he passed away and so I had to find another pain management, but I can say today that I wish it wouldnt had been here! I honestly do not have much good to say about this place or the dr. So I hope you take all this in consideration before you think about going here because I do know that karma definitely comes back to people for good or bad and I feel like the karma that’s coming to this place isn’t gonna be the good kind!

I drove a friend of mine to an appt here. I noticed someone working there but I didn’t say anything until I was driving my friend home from their appt. I asked my friend what this person did there and I about wrecked when he told me on our ride home. My friend was shocked I knew this persons name and a lot about this person. Long story short.....how can a pain management drs office employ someone to perform drug tests on patients who smokes marijuana on a daily basis for no reason? I know the spouse and ex spouses of this individual and it is smoked daily, probably on the way to work. How can pain drs and nurses not know the smell of marijuana on someone? So one of the people performing drug tests on patients couldn’t pass their own random drug test unless someone else provided the urine. My friend is looking for a new pain dr.....any suggestions??

I saw Dr. Danko only on my first visit, but he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. I have since been seen by the same Nurse Practitioner, as I requested, so that I had one person who knew me and my case really well. This is the first time I have had a Nurse Practitioner, Karen Buddendeck, that has not treated me like a druggy and truly cares about my pain and helping me maintain some sense of quality of life. She truly is an angel and I wouldn't want to see anyone else, but her. She's been extremely kind and understanding time and time again.

Doctor Danko cancelled Molina health care with out even telling us that we were terminated untill it was to late to do anything about it they told me on jan. First that i was terminated and i need to change insurance company, well enrollment wes last month, i am about to have a break down to

I do have to admit that I did have to wait about an hour for my first new patient consultation with Dr. Danko. Dr. Danko is very up to date and knowledgable regarding different treatment options available to patients with severe pain. This long wait allowed me the opportunity to sit and observe the office staff and their interactions with other patients. All of the staff was very kind and polite with each patient who entered their office. I absolutely love the Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioners who work with Dr. Danko. I was very afraid of going to a "Pain Treatment Center". I had a fear of being judged because of my pain. Every one of these mid-level providers, and Dr. Danko, have demonstrated so much compassion and eagerness to help relieve my pain. After decades of suffering with severe chronic pain, I have finally found a treatment plan that helps alleviate my pain and become more functional in my daily life. I am forever grateful to Dr. Danko and his compassionate staff.

Well...you really never see Danko. You see his co hurts who are rude, and could not care less about your pain.

Meds no longer working...have shared this info with doc. They never change it.

Had my father sit in lobby for 1.5 hours then moved him to back waiting room for another 20-30 minutes. He told me that the staff stood around talking and joking while he was in back waiting room, then one of those were the PA that came to give him the shot. Didn't get the pain shots in the part of body he was hoping for without explanation (PA never spoke to him and nurse said they were just going by their orders) The part that upset me the most is the fact that his appt was at 4, we didn't leave until after six and the lights in the hallway had been turned off accept a night light by door. This practice has a lot of senior patients who use walkers and can't see well. Why would you turn lights off before the last patient left?

What they're for 8 visits each visit was between two to three hours after my appointment time their reasoning was they're extremely busy and I would have to just bear with it staff there is extremely rude with a I don't care attitude

I have CRPS and see a different pain mgt doctor but was referred to him by the pmd for an intrathecal pain pump. I met with him and he wad wonderful. I met with him and took his time, it didn't feel rushed at all. He was very understanding and wanted to know my opinions on my treatment, which is great, especially since there are so many docs that have a plan they won't deviate from. Long story short, I am an RN and had done a lot of research regarding the pain pump. He is very supportive and answers all questions. He seems like a very trustworthy knowledgeable physician. The ONLY negative thing is that I was there for 3 hours. The appointment was 2 hours behind schedule, then once in back it took about 30 minutes, then he came in abd discussed everything for 30 minutes. Even with that being said I would rec him to anyone that has such a poor quality of life as mine that will leave the appt with hope, help, and a treatment plan!

I was experiencing pain and was recommended by my internist to make an appointment. When I went to see Dr. Danko, I found him to be a very professional, learned, experienced, compassionate, personable doctor. We discussed my symptoms and the options for me to accomplish relief. Extensive history taken. I did not hesitate to see him again, and my first impression was repeated. I am very fortunate to be his patient, and would highly recommend him to family and friends for care

I was so impressed with Dr Danko's comprehensive care plan, compassion, and laid back approach to helping his patient's. The staff are always so kind and very caring. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.

I was apprehensive about seeing a new doctor as I have PTSD and trouble trusting doctors. Dr. Danko came highly recommended, met with me prior to taking me on as a patient, and assured me he could work with me and my PTSD issues. I've been a patient now for 9 months and things are going well. This doctor will try anything to help alleviate your pain and get you back into life and doing the things you've missed since you've been in so much pain. He listens, leave decisions up to you, and is always looking for ways to improve your care. Just listen to him, trust him, and follow his treatment plan and you will do well. He's one of the good guys!

I've been to other pain mgt dr.'s that have either over medicated me or pushed for a surgery that I did not need & didn't treat diagnosed conditions. Dr Danko listened & actually had taken the time to read my records prior to my appt with him & listened to what Had previously worked for me.
