Very rude and insulting. Been to many different dr in the practice and have never been treated so poorly. Left without having anything done. Yanked my leg, hurt me more then insulted my intelligence. He had absolutely no interest in helping me.

Poor training in administering epidurals. Just an awful experience.

Dr. Gutkin is the best orthopedist I have ever had. I am in my 70’s, so I have had several. He is the best.

Dr. Gutkin helped me immensely. I HAD been suffering with back pain (herniated disc) for over 8 years. Prior to see Dr. Gutkin, other doctors just threw pills (opiates) at me. Dr. Gutkin was able to properly diagnose what was wrong, and after a few outpatient visits (facet ablation, & steroid injection), I'm now pain free & off opiates. I can't thank him enough, he changed my life. Dr Gutkin fixed 8 years of pain, and 7 years of pill-popping in 6 months Plus, he is super nice, and funny.

If you desire a Doctor that thinks if you are taking opioids you are a drug seeking person then he is your doctor. Staff and Doctor have not ideal on how to deal with patients. I would not recommend this Doctor to my dog.

I think Dr. Gutkin is awesome! I started seeing him after cervical spinal surgery in extreme pain and I could not use my right arm. In a matter of a few months he made me whole again! I am now pain free! He took great care of me! He spends just the right amount of time with me, I never feel rushed, he explains all options thoroughly, he answers all questions completely and then follows through. He is the best there is. I highly recommend him!!!

When I found Dr. Gutkin, it was like winning the jackpot! Dr. Gutkin is a superb doctor and person. He not really listens. He's also extremely knowledgeable and looks at the BIG picture. Unfortunately I must see a lot of doctors, so I have A LOT of experience. I can honestly say that he's the BEST!! I have recommended him to many people and they all loved him!!! Thanks to Der. Gutkin, I'm back on my feet and participating in life for the first time in a VERY long time!!!

Dr. Gutkin has been back doctor for many years. He has a great bed side manner and is very smart. I highly recommend him.

He took on the insurers and treated me after the insurance co. left me high and dry. You will not find a more compassionate, caring Dr (person) that is willing to help. This World needs more People like Him.

Dr. Gutkin (& his staff) have gone so far above & beyond their "normal" duties to help me, that I would consider them the BEST in the state. I've been to several other Drs. & they would dismiss me, they've been rude, uncaring and made me feel as if my pain was a mental issue not medical. Dr. Gutkin not only took the time to explain what was wrong, but the physically SHOW me on my films, where and what the problems were/are. He then asked ME what I wanted to work on 1st. He didn't just do what he wanted. I completely trust his opinions, treatments and feel confindent enough for him to make the decisions for me if I am unable to. He and his staff are the best of the best for certain!!!They have made calls on my behalf when any other dr and/or staff would pretty much tell me to "go jump" and make me do it myself. They are the BEST!!! Thank you Dr. Gutkin. Thank you and your staff for being so kind and caring.

While I already had a PT prescription from my neurosurgeon, I paid for a separate consultation with Dr. Gutkin so that he would fully understand both the nature of the surgery from which I was rehabilitating and my PT objectives in the context of my desired life-style activities. Further, I wanted him to match me with a physical therapist who was skilled in the PT required for my particular case.Initially I thought we had a good understanding, but within 4-5 PT sessions I became concerned that there really was no overarching strategy and no framework for the PT exercises I was to perform during each session.Further, even though he selected the therapist, I started to question whether the therapist had a comprehensive understanding of what we were trying to accomplish.Morever, after the first few sessions in which I did receive specific direction from the therapist, I found myself self-directing my own therapy --- even though NJ Sport and Spine (Dr. Gutkin's PT ) was getting paid to have a very hands-on and personal approach. This was attributable, in my view, to overbooking on the one hand and the preference by the therapist to give more personal time and attention to the young, hot "athletes" instead of the "older and wiser" among us.Finally, I communicated my concerns to Dr. Gutkin, but have had no response.
