Dr. Michael Kenneth Shaw, DO

After reading some of these reviews let me just say as a member of the VA that Dr. Shaw is an appointment internist and just a gateway to other VA specialties. He does not cure cancer, he does not repair your knee or hips, he does not trim your toenails. He is responsible for analyzing what he feels is in the patients best interest and then will recommend and order consults with the appropriate discipline. I have had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Shaw and appreciate his positive bedside manner and expertise. Steve Ayers.

This Dr. truly does not care about you... he rushes you and pawns you off. You bring genuine concerns and he brushes them off and makes you feel ignored.

Great doctor if all you need is a routine check up and medication refills. If you are really sick, he will try to pawn you off on specialists. The specialists could not find out what was wrong, I was very ill, loosing weight, this dr. Response was, I don't know what's wrong with you. Sorry. Very flippant and rude. Poor bedside manner, made me feel as if I was inconveniencing him by being there. I was left with no answers, and he also put inaccurate information in his Dr. Notes.

Almost two years ago, I started seeing Dr Shaw, after a brief hospital stay here in Parsons. Up until that time, I had continued to see my Doctor in KC, but realized it was time to find a Dr here in the area. Dr Shaw was recommended to us. I have received very good care with Dr Shaw, and my medical condition has improved under his care. His staff, Tommie (nurse) and Marcia (Administration) have always been courteous, professional and caring. Dr Shaw has listened to my concerns and answered any questions I have had.
