Dr. Michael A Sciarra, DO

I have a history of Stomach problems and surgeries . I had a procedure done by Dr. Sciarra over 1 month ago . I still dont know the results . After waiting one month On the day of my appointment they had the nerve to call me and reschedule me for one month later . 2 months and I still have not heard from my doctor the staff is rude and unprofessional.

Thankfully, I met Dr Sciarra through chance. My best friend has been a patient for a few years and after seeing two other Gastros in the area I still wasn't feeling better. One visit, one procedure and everything changed for the better. The office is beautiful, the staff friendly and the Doc knowledgeable and great. Thank you Dr Sciarra and staff!!!

Wrong diagnostic and after 3 endoscopies still with the same medical condition . My appoitnments got canceled without notice .. which it shows his lack of proffesionalism and care for the patiant . Also , they missed to send my presciption to the pharmacy twice. I would not recomend it . Please check his reviews before going there .

I have been coming to Dr Sciarra (as has most of my family and many friends) for 15 years. He has saved me twice, really saved my life. His bedside manner puts me at ease and the staff (although sometimes disorganized!) are always friendly and will right any issues. We love him!!!

I moved out if state and my new Dr requested my records, I have tried for 19 months to have my records and all I have ever received from the office is lies, oh we sent them, oh we faxed them, at least a dozen requests and all I ever received was lies and misleading answers , the staff is horrible and unprofessional.

I was misdiagnosed by TWO different gastroenterologists in the area before I went to see Dr. Sciarra. His diagnosis was spot on, I was treated and haven't felt better in years. His office is busy and definitely hectic but I understood why after I met him. Highly recommend.

Very arrogant. Pushes the "special" pro-biotic that he created. Very money oriented. Definitely not the top of his craft. Has many side deals in the works that he tries to get you interested in, special diets, pro-biotic. His probiotic is "better" than all others on the markets. while curiously enough the other's on the market are making millions. Yes, his staff does not speak English well, but I think a large portion of his patients are Spanish, and being bilingual is no easy feat. However, that office is severely mismanaged. Major problem though is the doctor's bedside manner in my appointment he flat out told me things that weren't true and he was surprised that I was able to point out the flaws in his logic during the appointment. He makes his bread and butter marketing his probiotic, his diets, and catering to patients that don't do research. Find a different doctor.

I’m happy to finally starting to feel better, and I have dr.Sciarra to thank,He was able to find the right medication for my problems with diverticulitis, I was in pretty bad shape,but after few months with the right medicine,and probiotics that He created,I’m doing much better!Thank you dr. sciarra and thank you to the staff,especially to Manny. I can honestly say I raccomend this doctor to anybody.

He was awesome during my first visit I was very please. Once he scheduled my endoscopy everything went down. His office and surgery center called me the date before to confirm my appointment. His office confirmed and stated that I didn't have any thing to pay. The surgery center called me to asked the preliminary questions and no mentioned of any copay or patient responsibility. I get there and the receptionist informed that I have a copay of 1900 dollars that I needed to pay prior to the procedure. I asked why wasn't I inform of this the day before I would not had taken off from work since I don't have 1900 dollars to pay. She proceeded to tell me they tried calling me but the number was incorrect. How is that even possible? A nurse from center had called me to asked medical questions and confirmed my appointment??? I wouldn't agree to do the procedure until I called my insurance company and confirmed this is true as I never heard of me having a deductible. The staff was getting upset because I was making them late. However I was not going to go ahead and pay. Then they got dr scierra on the phone who was persuading me to go ahead and then we will figure out the money issue. I kept telling him no and he kept insisting. It was just a terrible experience. Then dealing with his billing company and being told I not only had to pay for the deductible from the surgery center (which dr scierra had financial interest in) but also had to pay some out of pocket money for professional charges which I was never informed by his staff.

The day of the procedure, the power went off in the gastroenterologist unit operation room. While the other doctor re-scheduled all his patients, Dr. Sciarra went out and beyond his call of duty to accommodate all his patient procedures to the hospital main surgery room. It is true that took longer than spected but the satisfaction of the feeling that a physician cares for you, made the waiting more manageable.

this is the worse staff I have ever experienced. Major errors, uncourteous and unprofessional. also never speaks English around you, so you have no idea what they are saying about you. The Doctor is smart and professional, not sure why he stands for this staff. I would fire the bunch and start over..

dr sciarra office orders tests for patients and then takes weeks or months to give results. i waited four months for the results of an endoscopy. often you dont get to see the dr. you see his assistant. the staff is very rude

3 doctors, 2 problems...nobody could diagnose what was wrong. This went on for 3 years. I saw Dr. Sciarra and after 2 procedures at a great place, I finally knew what was wrong and had it fixed. I finally felt better. My son and wife are patients now too, great doc. Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but it's worth it.

He saved me. Went to 3 other gi's who couldn't diagnose my problem over 3 years. With him...2 visits, 1 colonoscopy, I am completely better. Good guy, very funny, made me feel at ease.

I hate doctors. I wasnt well, my mother suggested that I see Dr. Sciarra. Reluctantly, I agreed. After two visits, I felt like a new person, I had been suffering with the same stomach ailment for over a year. I am not sure if I was just being stubborn and the medicine worked or if he actually cured me, but whatever, the outcome was fantastic and he couldnt have been nicer or more professional.

DR.SCIARRA WAS THE ONLY DR.THAT GAVE THE RITE DIAGNOSE FOR MY GALBLADDER AND SOME OTHER THINS I HAVE. HE GOT ME INTOUCH WITH A GREAT SURGEN AND I HAVE BEEN BETTER EVER SINCE.HE DID NOT RUSH THOUGH ANY OF MY APP.AND ALLWAYS WRITES EVERYTHING DOWN.HE IS A DREAT DR.WITH A GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER THAT CARES ABOUT HIS PATENTS.
