Dr. Michael Anthony Sclafani, MD

I saw Dr. Sclafani for chronic knee pain. He was very personable and informative. He went over my X-rays and showed me what I had and discussed it in great detail. I was very pleased with the efficiency of my visit all around.

Dr. Sclafani was terrific, thought I needed surgery on my knee and to my surprise Dr Michael told me it’s not necessary. Great news considering I am 55 years old and was not looking forward to the rehab…Dr Sclafani and Orthopaedics of Brielle are the best! Thank you for your professionalism and honesty.

I have seen Dr Sclafani for various ailments for close to 25 years and have also recommended him, My last 2 visits to him he let his assistant see me and barely poked his head in the examine room and I had several questions and when I was leaving saw him in his own personal office and he couldn’t even give me the time of day ! He prescribed physical therapy for me and did not even tell me about it And prescribed an ant inflammatory for me which I can not even take , I think it’s very sad when you have serious concerns and you can’t even get a Dr who will spend 30 seconds with you .

THE DAMAGE THIS PRACTICE CAUSED CANNOT BE FIXED BOTCHED SURGERY FROM UNAPOLOGETIC DOCTORS AND AN OBSTRUCTIVE STAFF. Both myself and my wife were sent here for workers compensation injuries and were both treated worse than cattle. Dr Ferenz attempted to fix a simple pinky injury, the result being I can never bend that finger again, he offered no reason for the unsuccessful surgery, no solution, and no apology for his terrible skills. Dr.Sclafani saw my wife who was injured at work subduing and inmate in a NJ State Prison. Dr Sclafani told "They want me to send you back, your going back to work" Despite her still being unable to perform her duties due to two badly injured knees. He WOULD NOT LISTEN TO A WORD SHE SAID. He was flat out degrading and apparently both these Drs. are given their orders by workers compensation insurance companies. Neither of them had any concern about our ability to actually return to work or our safety or others, They sent us back in unsafe conditions with unhealed injuries. THE STAFF IS ATROCIOUS!! The office manger in the Toms River location has an extreme case of a god complex, Simple requests were met with nothing but rude refusals and her pushing blame on patients, NOT JUST US. While waiting forever in this office I saw many other patients have the same issues with her. SHE BULLIES PATIENTS, with threats of cancelled appointments and lack of care. WHICH SHE FOLLOWS THROUGH WITH. I KNOW THIS FIRST HAND OTHER REVIEWS SHOW THE SAME PATTERN RUN FROM THIS PLACE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

I would recommend him to a friend,DEFINETLY.

I would first like to say that I am a coward when it comes to doctors and treatment. I had to have rotator cuff surgery due to a deep tissue massage gone wrong. Dr. Sclafani's confidence and expertise in diagnosing/treating me convinced me to follow through with the surgery. I was living with excruciating pain for a year and tried several treatments before ultimately opting for surgery. He is an excellent doctor and would recommend him to anymore who has lacked confidence in medical treatment. Thank you Dr. Sclafani!!!

Doctor Sclafani was truly caring. He saw my son and fixed his knee injury. He is now back playing and starting as running back for his school. Staff and doctor were so nice

im seeing this DR. inwhich I had a microfracture. Post surgery he has not been straight about the procedure or recovery time. I have gone back for follow up due to new pains and all I get is "Deal with it"......

Dr Scalfani, on my 2nd visit came in room and said my knee should be better and basically daid he could do nothing for the pain except moe PT (which he owns) He wouldn't look at my knee after I took brace off. His nurse is horrible as well rude and uncaring! Avoid going to this Doctor he will not help you, its been 6 weeks I'm looking for a new Dr.

I came to Dr Sclafani for my knee. It was very simple to make my appointment. Staff was very helpful. I was able to print out my paperwork from the website so I was taken in for an xray right away.Then brought to see the dr almost immediately. Great bedside manner. He listened to what I had to say and examined me. I am doing much better now.Thank You Dr S!

My son tore his ACL playing football. Dr. Sclafani took great care allowing him to finish off his senior season of high school football. He then operated after the season, and he is doing great. He is now set to play in college under an athletic scholarships.

My son tore his ACL and miniscus. Doc took his time explaining the surgery and recovery; answered all our questions. The day of the surgery at the surgical center the staff and doctor were very attentive. They took care of my son like he was their child. Doc went over the procedure with me and explained the aftercare to both of us. I was very pleased with everything. Much better than dealing with hospitals!

Made the first appt. and the Doctor cancelled. Saw the Physician Asst. and was sent for an MRI. Made second appt. and the Doctor. cancelled that one as well. Could not get another appt. for over two weeks. My daughter was in terrible pain. i left two messages on the office manager's phone line that were not returned. Then I drove to the office to try to get the situation rectified. It ended with the Doctor's assistant relaying a message to me from the Doctor saying that there was nothing wrong with my daughter and was dismissing her after looking at the MRI results. He NEVER saw her or examined her. What kind of a doctor is this. i asked for another Doctor from the practice to see her and I never got a return phone call. i took her to another practice and she does indeed have a clear diagnosis and is now being treated. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR AND GROUP. IS THIS ANY WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE IN PAIN?

After receiving my report from the hospital I called to schedule an appointment. I was told by his staff the doctor reviewed the report and is passing on me as a patient. No other explanation. Is it due to the surgeries I've all ready had. Is it because he does not feel he can help me? I have never heard of a doctor refusing a patient t before. I find it even more appalling that there is no explanation from his staff.
