Dr. Miles G Cunningham, MD

When I came to Cunningham it was the darkest hour of my adult life, he went above and beyond to give me the right treatment. I didn’t have hope but he did. I’m emotional writing this because I just cannot express how much he changed my life. He always stood by me and told me I deserve to function and have a life worth living and I can now advocate for myself because of him. I’m very traumatized by men and I was really scared to a male psychiatrist but he earned my trust because that’s just the kind of person he is. He cares! If you’re putting the hard work into your mental health recovery he will stop at nothing to support you. He will never judge you, treat you differently because you’re a female patient, HE LISTENS, he will work together with you in your treatment and he always does what is best for his patients! I could write a novel to speak to his impeccable character as a Psychiatrist and a fellow human being. I won the psychiatrist lottery with Dr. Cunningham and I’m going to miss our sessions. Thank you for being the difference in my life :) I can actually function and I’m getting my life back and even with my hard work, it wouldn’t be possible without Dr. Cunningham!

I started at Square medical about 10 years ago however it wasn’t until about 8 years ago that I really got my mental health under control. I initially start with Dr. Cunningham due to his Saturday hours being most convenient and it was the best decision I have ever made because it changed my whole life. Dr. Cunningham is godsent because he is diligent in making sure my mental health is the best it can be. Ive never had a Doctor make me feel so comfortable he trusted my judgment and took my suggestions seriously without prevail which was a huge change for me. I would recommend Dr. Cunningham to anyone seeking a kind, compassionate, and brilliant doctor due to him being one of the kindest professionals I’ve ever met, he listens, asks the right questions, takes his time and is honest. I am so impressed by his demeanor and intuitiveness. He’s the best ever! Never rushed, always willing to listen and so smart. I can’t imagine going to anyone else.

Dr. Cunningham has gone above and beyond to accommodate me and give me the very best care possible for the past 8 years! If your looking for a doctor who TRULY cares about his patients , this IS your guy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always taking care of me the best way possible! I’ve been a patient for Dr.Cunningham for the past few years and he was really helpful to me! He is literally the only psychiatrist that listened to me and was patient with me and helped me find the right medication I needed. He always is willing to offer great advise or can refer a good book to help! I will surely miss him! Thank you for all your support!

Dr. Miles Cunningham is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative... I immediately felt comfortable, at ease, & very confident in my receiving expert medical care.  It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches & takes the time to listen & care for his patients concerns. I always walked away very pleased & impressed with  the overall experience. HIGHLY recommend.

Through my years of substance dependency, I have had quite a few doctors. Most seem nice enough during the brief appointments. However, Dr Cunningham seemed to TRULY care about the success of my treatment. He has always been attentive in the telling of my day to day life. He always shows concern for my troubles, and shares in the Joys. If there was anything he could help me through, he did so, or he would direct me to someone that could help. My review will do an abysmal job in conveying just how much I appreciate Dr Cunningham. He is one of the GOOD ones. I understand he will be moving on, to focus on Brain Cancer Research. I can think of nothing more Noble or Important. I wish the good Dr. success and happiness in life. Dr Cunningham… Thank you so very much for your time, your empathy, your kindness, and your care. You will be missed, but I’ll keep an eye out for your work. I suspect big things ??

I don't think I could have found a better psychiatrist! A Doctor that really cares about his patients. So many more redeeming qualities. That often are not found in Dr's today. I'd like to wish him well as he moves forward in his career also in life!

I was a patient of Dr.Cunningham for about 10 yrs and he helped me tremendously with listening to my life the way I told it and was very patient and understanding..the medications that he prescribed to me, helped me to cope and deal with life better. Thanks Miles

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with how extraordinary Dr Cunningham is. I’ve suffered with mental illness for too many years to be honest, and in all my years I have never come across a Dr so intelligent, knowledgeable, compassionate, insightful, supportive, and beyond dedicated to the well-being of his patients. He has given me hope, and I will always be eternally grateful for that. Now you need to be prepared to be committed to your own personal growth, because as I’ve learned in time no one can actually do it for you (don’t we wish) but you need to want it for yourself. If there is any kind of metal that could be handed out for the best psychiatrist in the world he most certainly deserves it. Best of luck everyone! ??

If I could give him a 100 stars I would!! In my 25 yrs of undergoing psychiatric treatment, he is hands down the best provider I have ever come across. His knowledge, insight, and professionalism is like nothing I have ever experienced. And..he really cares! I would recommend him to anyone or their family members. I am just so grateful I have found him, because he is really helping me change my life for the better! :)

Prior to meeting Dr. Cunningham my son was in a dual diagnosis program in CT. When it was determined that it was time for him to move back to MA I was concerned not only with the challenge of finding a psychiatrist who my son (who had been challenging for other providers in the past) would work with but also with finding support for myself as a parent. 10 minutes in to our first meeting with Dr. C my son was engaging and sharing information freely, I remember feeling almost dazed, wondering where my son had gone! In addition to his brilliant mind, Dr. Cunningham is a great listener, to input from both the patient and parent/caregiver. He has a way of not alienating the patient when addressing the caregiver, a unique talent based on our experience. His response time to questions via email or telephone is remarkable. His positive demeanor and optimism have given my son hope. Dr. Cunningham is truly a bright light in the life of a patient living with mental illness. Both my son and I are truly grateful to have him on our team!

Dr. Cunningham has been an absolutely vital piece of my recovery process. I cannot say where I would be, had I not begun seeing him for therapy, as well as for my medications. He listens actively and treats me with dignity and optimism. I am 18 months sober now and my post traumatic stress is far more manageable than before he began to treat me. He believes in me when I find it hard, or even impossible, to believe in myself. He is not afraid to show his humanity, which I find to be a transformative characteristic in a doctor/patient relationship. He listens to me with regard to my thoughts about my medications and takes careful consideration of what I believe may work for me as well as what would not (or has not). I would recommend Dr. Cunningham to someone I loved dearly - this is perhaps the greatest compliment I could give him and he sincerely deserves it.

I travel a good distance to see Dr. Cunningham. I have made wonderful progress is a very short period of time. His analysis and treatment was accurate and timely. I was struggling with anxiety and depression. Things were dire for me and my family. My job was in jeopardy. My treatment has given me a new life. My confidence is back, depression and anxiety are well managed. My performance at work has drastically improved. Thank you Dr. Cunningham, I just wish I had met many years ago.

Seems to take a genuine interest in my welfare. Very patient and also intuitive in willingness to experiment and try new venues that I haven't thought of myself. Extremely intelligent and nice personality.
