Dr. Naoky Chi Su Tsai, MD

Dr Tsai (and his great staff) literally SAVED MY LIFE! He always listens to all my questions and is the most patient MD I’ve ever known! And I’m an RN so I have a built in bias against docs to start with. Please NEVER retire Dr Tsai! ??

Dr. Naoky Tsai, his associates and staff have you seemingly jumping through many, many hoops BEFORE they even decide whether or not they will accept you as a potential patient. Some criteria to consider: if your case can be turned into potential medical journal publication material, you may get pushed to the head of the wait list! All others must wait their turn, which may translate to a month or more. Whatever happened to providing treatment to the pedestrian patient who is willing to be compliant, pay in full, and just seeking peace of mind? It is a shame that common folk without connections to the who's who locally and without a connected surname received such appalling service.

Dr. Tsai is currently the only doctor on Oahu that treats hepatitis patients via the Liver Clinic, which just re-opened at Queens POB III since the closing of HMC. Dr. Tsai is known for being a great physician. Unfortunately, his staff is immature and unprofessional. You really don't have a choice but to work with them if you need to see Dr. Tsai. In their defense, I'm sure they are under a lot of pressure with handling a new office and dealing with a large number of patients. Let's just hope that their conduct improves or that Dr. Tsai acquires staff with a higher level of professionalism. Only time will tell.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tsai's for about twelve years. Initially, I saw him for GERD and have received excellent care. He also performed diagnostic procedures, including a colonoscopy.Most important was that he provided the initial diagnosis of my Parkinson's disease in 2000 when my Internist had dismissed my slight tremor as nothing to worry about. He noticed the tremor and examined me and suggested that I consult a neurologist. The neurologist confirmed Dr. Tsai's diagnosis and initiated treatment
