Dr. Melton was the team doctor for the Kansas City soccer team so I chose him because of that. He did an arch reconstruction including moving my heel and repositioning tendons. I spent 12 week non-weight bearing. When I asked about physical therapy (I was 66 at the time) he said that he didn't think it was necessary. I came back monthly for over 6 months because of significant pain. He did not know what was causing the pain. I went to a different doctor who immediately recognized that my adhesions (due to lack of physical therapy) had encapsulated my sural nerve. He was able to fix it very capably. Beware of a doctor who specializes in young, strong, men. They are not able to relate to older patients.

I had a Rotator cuff tear, bone spurs and he reattached by bicep. at 11 1/2 weeks I have full mobility and no restrictions. I could not have a had a better surgeon to repair my shoulder!

Dr. Melton was excellent from bedside manner to knowledge, care and concern. Excellent. The office staff needs a little help.

Saw Dr. Melton twice in one week. He had ordered a test, and we discussed the results. Because of the test he wanted me to see a neurologist. As both doctors are in the same building, he wanted the test results to the office and wanted me to be as seen as soon as responsable, Great Dr and office staff.

If you're looking for an excellent doctor and you've found this page , stop looking right now--this is the one. He is so helpful and knowledgable about the "cutting edge" of orthopedic medicine. He really cares about his patients. It seems that 5 stars are just not enough--there should be some way to add pluses.

Incredible Doctor. I really in my heart didn't think surgery could fix my hand and arthritis would still be there also, but boy was I wrong. Very compassionate, smart, and great surgeon too.

Dr. Melton is the best! He not only correctly diagnosed my Achilles issue (that a different dr from another hospital missed) but he fixed it. It was extensive and the recovery is painful but he told me it would be. That's one of the things I love about him, he tells you exactly what to expect and he's correct! He has gone above and beyond for me a few times and I will be forever thankful to him and his wonderful bedside manner, as well as his expertise as a surgeon. Your search is over if you're looking for a great orthopedic surgeon! A doctor's staff is a huge reflection on the Doctor. The ladies in the office are just as wonderful as Dr. Melton. From his nurse, Deanna to Jennifer and every single person there are second to none.

Dr Melton is very good, he cares about his patients and he takes the time to explain things to you , which I really appreciated. His staff is friendly and efficient. I would recommend Dr Melton and his staff highly. I've seen him twice now with great results.

Dr. Melton was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute. Even though I was a last minute appointment, and first time patient, I did not have to wait long at all. I highly recommend Dr. Melton!

Dr. Melton is great! I've seen him now for 2 issues in 2 years. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He makes sure I understand everything before I leave the office. His staff is also friendly, caring, and efficient. I've worked with many orthopedic surgeons, and have seen a few as a patient, and Dr. Melton is second to none.

Dr. Melton was wonderful. He diagnosed the problem and I had surgery on my foot (and actually a second time since I fell and messed it up again.) but Dr. Melton was wonderful and explained everything well and did a fantastic job. Dr Melton is very caring and honestly seems to care about his patients. He Listens!! He rebuilt my heel and fixed several problems with my ankle. Although a rather long recovery time for me, he was very patient and sympathetic. I always felt very much at ease with him, and his staff. Never a long waiting time either. And Lee's Summit Hospital is the best. Great people!!! I would definitely recommend him to friends and family, and have!!
