Dr. Nolan David Tzou, MD

Dr. Tzou and his staff are incredible. Making an appointment is a breeze and getting treated by Dr. Tzou is a very good experience. I have been a nurse for 30 years and used to work for an Anesthesia practice. Dr. Tzou gives top notch care to his patients and is a very concerned and caring provider. I highly recommend him for your pain management needs.

Dr. Tzou is great. He's funny and extremely personable. I like that he takes the time to understand what is hurting you and gives you several courses of action. He'll listen to your lifestyle and explain which treatment fits that. I never feel rushed with him and come out with a treatment that works best for me. I also love that I am never waiting in his office for very long. He is running on schedule every time I go.

I went to Dr. Tzou in 2008 with severe neck pain and numbness in my arm, both due to herniated discs. Other drs told me I needed immediate surgery. I then saw Dr. Tzou who stated he could help me without surgery. After a few shots, I’ve been pain free; 11 years with zero pain! I still see Dr. Tzou annually for follow ups. He is a professional and has always treated me with respect and kindness. I highly recommend him.

Dr Tzou is caring and treats you like family. Most of the people who put in bad reviews don’t even put in comments. If you have a serious problem and have documentation for the problem you will be treated as you should be.I have had multiple shots because the shots don’t last long and also trigger point injections and have never had a problem and he tells you exactly what he is doing.The people who give bad rating just want drugs and unless you have a problem that has to have pain medication he will not give you drugs and that is incordence to state laws

One morning during the last month I got out of bed and found that I was suffering from the most excruciating pain from my butt down my leg. I could not stand, sit or sleep the pain was that intense. My orthopedist diagnosed this pain as sciatica, and the pills he prescribed offered no relief. After a week of this pain, he suggested I see Dr. Tzou. I visited Dr. Tzou and found him extremely knowledgeable and highly competent. He suggested an epidural injection in an area in my spine. I was in such extreme pain I even had difficulty getting up on the examining table. After the epidural injection, which was a bit uncomfortable but not painful. I did not get instant relief as I got off the table, but Dr. Tzou explained to me it that it usually takes a day or two for me to feel the effects of the injection. By that evening, my pain was much more manageable, and by the next day when I awoke and got out of the bed, I was a new person. The pain from my sciatica was just about gone. Over the next day or so I was back to normal again, just as Dr. Tzou had predicted. Although I am a writer by profession, it's hard to find the best words to describe how thankful and relieved I am. Thank you Dr. Tzou, you are the best!!!

I have treated with Dr. Tzou for over 10 years. From his office at Huntington Hospital, New York Ave, Levittown and Huntington Village. His competence, compassion and kindness surpass all expectations in today’s Doctor patient relationship. His education and experience bring the best medical care to the table. His hand picked staff at each office have always been kind and accommodating. I wish more doctors had his business model. I will continue to refer all friends and family.

I’ve been going to Dr. Tzou on and off for 6 years as my back issues warrant. He’s always taken great care of me, and his treatments always help. I saw him a couple of days ago unable to stand. After receiving an epidural, I’m now able to stand up and am on the road to recovery. I appreciate the fact that he doesn’t push pills on me, and when I need pain relief, he prescribes them in moderation (which is probably the real reason behind some of the one star reviews people have posted).

Spent 3 days setting up, calling, chasing and digging for appointment to be finalized as a new patient and he told me he will not be taking me on as a patient when initially he did. What a waste of time!

If he can't help you he becomes very rude. Also doesn't like it if you get a second opinion.

Dr. Tzou is one of the best doctors I know (and there are, alas, quite a few). His expertise, care, experience and manners are his patients' and peers' advantage and example.

I had an appointment with dr. for consultation. Dr. Tzou's office gave false info and said there testing was covered by insurance. They lied!!! I got a bill for $85.00 from Lab! I was there just for consultation. Dr. Tzou was insulting and my husband for furious for the way he spoke to me and made me upset!! up with my insurance Do not see this doctor!!!!!

Dr. Tzon had suggested I have the Medtonic Spinal Cord Stimulation done but after visiting my Spine Specialist he advised me against it due to infections, my health conditions and it would not solve the pain or the problem. Following visit to Dr. Tzon turned out to be so bad after telling Dr. Tzon No to the spinal cord Stimulation. Dr. Tzon after 6 visits he decided to tell me that my problem of pain and etc is all due to obesity and gave me such unrealistic advice regarding what my weight should be 80 -100 lbs for 5'3 and how many calories a day I should have is 800 - 1000. I weigh 200 lbs. My visit made me feel that he was trying to sell me a product the Medtronic Spinal Cord Stimulation and said the chance of infection is 1 in 1000, Dr. Tzon also did not like my Spinal Specialist by making remarks that were uncalled for

All I can say is this Dr must make a lot of money because he refuses people. I tried to get an apt with him and was refused. Dr wanted my medical records to review them and after he got them I explained I didn't like my current Dr and he told me he couldn't help me because I already had a Dr. His staff was rude when ever I called and even trying just to get the Fax number. Move on and find someone else
