Dr. Obinna Nathan Uzodinma, MD

I've been seeing Dr. U for around 2 yrs. for med refills for my pain pump due to chronic pain I've had since 1996 from Fibromyalgia. My orig. dr. gradually had other drs. fill my pump at his office while he pursued other avenues in the medical field until the last dr. left patients scrambling to find another pain dr. when he retired w/ only 2 weeks notice & the office was closed. The pain pump patients were referred to a dr. that was a 140 mile round trip from Houston who was willing to take on so many patients until we could find someone closer. Unfortunately, I had offered to be the 1st one to try a new pump by a different manufacturer when it came time to replace my 2nd pump, only to find out that no drs. in the Houston area had the equip. or training to handle my pump, but Dr. U stepped up & offered to be trained after 5 long mos. of the pump rep making many calls & visits to drs. Also, I found out that no other pain drs. other than my orig. dr. will put a pain pump in someone w/ Fibromyalgia cuz they can't see on an xray, CAT scan or MRI what causes pain from it. But that didn't matter to Dr. U cuz not only does he like learning anything new, but he understood that since I had a pump for 20+ yrs., the pain is very real & debilitating for me, so & he is a very caring & compassionate dr. He is also everything others have said about him such as having a great bedside manner, interested in treating you as human who deserves to be treated w/respect/dignity & as someone who needs the best medical care possible. He is what I call a dream dr. who I look forward to taking care of me throughout the rest of my golden years. Sorry my review is so long.

One of the best Doctors I've ever encountered! He spends time with you. He never rushes, he will stay with you for an hour if necessary, I've had him do it several times. Now sometimes that means you may have a longer wait time to see him, but that's because he treats all his patients that way. If you're and impatient person he may not be the Doctor for you, but, I guarantee he is worth the wait. His staff is courteous and sometimes even fun. I highly recommend him!!!

I have seen alot of pain specialist.And Dr.Uzodinma has been great.He listened to my problem understood my pain.And helped to stop my pain.Thanks so much.

I have been seeing Dr. U. for appx 2 years and a problem I have is followup by his scheduling staff. It takes them at least 2-3 days to get back to me after Dr.U. orders a n Xray or a procedure which puts me having to wait longer than I feel is appropriate.

My initial visit went well. Dr. Uzo was patient , thorough, informative. Will follow up after MRI and x-ray.

I have been under the care of Dr Uzodinma for some time now. He spends time with you, answering any questions, giving explanations and working out a plan of recovery. He is always professional and friendly so that I am confident and "at ease" with his skill giving cortosteroid injections, the outcome is always positive.

Dr obi is one of the best doctors I've seen his bed side manner is wonderful he understands your pain and treats you like a human being I will be going back to him since I finally found him Thankyou dr obi for being you..ps the shots you gave helped me greatly I will be back Thankyou
