Dr. Blam is an exceptional surgeon. His skill as a surgeon is unmatched; his listening skills and understanding of my concerns are of the highest level. I cannot begin to thank Dr. Blam enough for his care for me.

I saw Dr. Blam after months of extreme leg pain. It was determined that spinal surgery was necessary to elevate it. When the surgery was finished I had no more pain. What a relief! I trusted him from day one and he did not disappoint

Very pleased with the entire process. Dr. Blam explained everything and said there were no surprises with the operation. Pain level (surgery) was much lower than I expected. Recovery continues (he said to baby my back for three more weeks) My pain level (right hip and leg) dropped from 8/9 to less than 1. Both the doctor and hospital (Northwest) provided outstanding attention and service.

Dr. Blam performed my surgery and 2 weeks later I have progressed in my healing far better then expected. Dr. Blam was extremely professional and thorough with everything. He explained in clear thoughts how everything was going to be done and came after surgery and explained how the surgery went in a concise understanding way. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

I cannot say enough nice things about OACM. I really appreciate that they always see me in a timely manner and that their staff is friendly and very considerate. I was in an accident 20 years ago that resulted in cervical and lumbar spine injuries. While Dr. Blam was very conservative about my treatment and he did not rush to the OR; eventually he performed surgery on my neck and then on my lumbar spine. I really appreciate that recovery was uneventful. Before the decision to perform surgery, I saw Dr. DeMarco for pain relief - a really caring guy who addressed my pain with great care,

I SAW HIM....THIS WEEK...DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY...WASNT EVEN WITH ME 5 MINUTES.....DID NOT DO A THING OR GO OVER MY SCANS....THE WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen doctors in this practice for the past 20+ years, and I found that my visit to Dr. Blam was a complete waste of time. Debilitating back pain and the medical advice was to take some Advil and come back in a few weeks. Worst bedside manner I've ever seen from a caretaker. I recommend finding a doctor other than this one.

Dr. Blam seems like a nice enough guy; however, he didn’t do A THING to diagnose, treat, or explain my current medical condition. Back spasms for the last 3 weeks, cannot bend, lower back sore to touch with numbness and tingling. Dr. Blam didn’t even examine or touch my back. Not an iota of an examination. Basically said, “I think it’s going to get better.” When asked about what is the cause or issue, he states, “I don’t know.” Very disappointed and confused as to where I even go from here. I would not recommend here.

My appt lasted 5 minutes or less. I found him to be uninterested, arrogant, and dismissive. My MRI was not explained to me. I’m having severe groin pain and he stated it has nothing to with my back. I saw another DR who says the groin pain has everything to do with my back. I’m sorry I wasted my time and his.

I visited Dr. Blam twice. After looking at my MRI he was not interested in hearing my history, he just wanted to do major surgery. (I got a second opinion which recommended against that.) When I saw him a second time he disagreed with the observations of two other doctors who had read my MRI images and insisted that his surgery was the way to go. He used general terms instead of specific ones, as if I knew nothing. I won't go back.

I saw Dr. Blam for the first time today due to a back injury. He was completely dismissive and seemed disinterested in me entirely. Never asked if I had questions, short and curt in his responses to the few questions I forced in before he ran out the door. Was in and out in less than 5 minutes. As a patient, I was disappointed to feel like I really wasn't cared about at all. Based on other reviews, this treatment seems consistent for “non-surgical” patients. If you have any other options, go elsewhere!!!

I finally decided to have my surgery. Dr. Blam did a Lumbar Laminectomy with fusion & iliac bone grafts on Jan. 22, 2012. Before surgery he always answered any and all my questions. The surgery went well and I recovered quickly. I was well informed of what was going to be done as was prepared. I highly recommend Dr. Oren Blam. What I like best is he tells you exactly what is going to happen and does not sugar coat it. This, to me is another sign of an excellent doctor. He follows up and makes sure you are not in need of anything. Oh, another thing is that the pain meds I had in recovery had a side effect of hallucinations. I had hallucinations and as soon as I mentioned it Dr. Blam had me off that medication and on a new one. He was quick in addressing thing problem. I wish I could give more than 5 stars to this excellent Dr.

Dr. Blam was very confident he could fix my back. He was very professional and made sure I understood what the whole process would be. I'm very satisfied with the care that I got.

Very thorough. Tries to avoid surgery. Wish he was in Hagerstown more often. Treatment for degenerative discs, stenosis and bone spurs neck, cubital tunnel syndrome.
