I’ve been a patient for several years now and have never had a bad visit . Dr Bucklew-Wilder has been more than an amazing dr . My life has been in her hands and here I am I am still here . I first went to Dr. Bucklew when I found out that I had breast cancer. I was scared to death, had not a clue of which surgeon to go to. Dr Bucklew had done surgery on my sister -in-law for cancer on the tip of her nose, I couldn't believe she had had surgery done, you could not see a scar or anything and my sister-in-law loved her----back to my story, the first day I meet Dr Bucklew I knew she was the one for me, she had a very firm hand shake, which tells me she has self confidence, she smiled and talked to me we even cracked a few jokes, bottom line she done a lumpectomy, only to have to go back and do a mastectomy, and again I was scared, but she was right there with me from the second I hit the operating room, which was my request of her, because the first surgery I was give pre op sedatives that I was allergic to after they were told I was NOT to have them, she was there the next time when I was wheeled in the operating room and had she not been there I would have been given the pre op shots again! But thanks to Dr. Bucklew, she stopped them, all went well after that, I was allowed to go home that same day, some do not believe when I tell them, but I did not Have any pain medication at all before or any time after my surgery, I didn't have pain! I was sore a little bit but not much. All went well until I was put on medication to bring my estrogen level down and I was unable to take it so I went back to Dr Bucklew and she looked me straight in the eyes and said Laura if it were my sister I would recommend that she had a hysterectomy and a mastectomy of the remaining breast, my cancer was caused from way to much estrogen being produced by my body and it would continue to attack my breast and female organs, so if I didn't have them I wouldn't get it. So that is what I done, there was many rough spots in the road, depression, and fears that had it not been for Dr. Bucklew I feel certain I would have never made it through. Last year, the cancer came back on the first breast area that was removed, again I had Dr. Bucklew, had I done radiation the first time around like she wanted me to it would not have come back, but I didn't, so the second time SHE made sure I did. Told me if I didn't that she kick my back side and see that I did. I was a mess back then and she kept me straight. God gave her to me. No one will ever tell me differently, she gave me strength and courage, and friendship, and yes even love, I felt she cared so much about me as a person and as a female, she has lead me for these last 2 1/2 years, when I think I have found another lump I go running back to Dr.Bucklew only to be told it's not cancer. She has to be one of the kindest, most caring, compassionate person I have ever meet. She shoots straight from the hip, she does not tell you what you want to hear all the time, but tells you the truth and does it gently, she doesn't just rush in and then rush back out, she is there until YOU are done. I thank God and have thanked him many, many times for putting Dr Bucklew in my life, aside from all the things I mentioned, she is very skilled, scars that I thought would be awful are very minimal and very, very thin, she is just wonderful, I could go on and on all night but I think you get the picture. If you need a surgeon , you can't go wrong by going to Dr. Bucklew

I can not express how wonderful Dr Bucklew was to our family during my mothers illness. Her warm caring smile and tenderness that she showed my Mother put us at ease. She saved my mother's leg and she saved my mother's life...2 times. God bless Dr Bucklew.
