It took a bit to be called back to the exam room, but it was worth the wait, very friendly too.

Dr Hurlbut is outstanding! He took the time to explain the procedure and showed me a sample of the product being used. very professional. Lots of places over the same procedure. The only thing that separates them from everyone else is the customer service they provide. I’ve been in customer service for 40 years and I absolutely believe that these folks care about me and my quality of life. I’ve tried other Orthopedic places and the customer service there was sub par they seem to care more about volume than me as an individual. Dr Hurlbut and his team of professionals are exactly what that industry needs. Thank you, Prairie Orthopedic.

Dr. Hurlbut’s skill, knowledge, and experience is made obvious by the way he performs his testing, evaluation, and diagnosis. As a patient, I walked in with concerns about my injury, but walked out with confidence that my treatment and follow-up care were in the right hands.

Grateful for Dr. Hurlbut's expertise on hands. He was a phonecall away for my PCP in the ER immediately following my accident and has walked with me every step since. Hopeful that my thumb can be saved, but time will tell. Given my situation, I couldn't have asked for better care.

I highly recommend Dr. Hurlbut for anything ortho. Somehow my bicep tendon tore away from the bone. When I went to him and examined what I was feeling he knew exactly what was wrong. He even battled my insurance company so I could get the correct tests done. He's patient and listens to his patients.

Dr H has done over a dozen surgeries for me since 2004. Always know what to expect and very pleased with the outcomes.

I saw Dr. Hurlbut the same day I called for an appointment. I thought he took a lot of time and care in assessing my situation and gave me a realistic approach and potential prognosis. He answered all my questions thoroughly. I didn't feel rushed and felt the appointment was helpful.

Although the wait was long due to an emergency surgery the consultation was thorough and informative. All staff were of cordial demeanor and listened attentively. I now have a plan to address the pain in my hand so I can resume my hobbies. Am a new patient and it only took a day to see the doctor from when I first called.

Dr Hurlbut is very invested in making sure you can get back to doing the things you used to do. By asking questions to see what your next step will be, very knowledgeable.

Several years ago, my daughter had broken her forearm while playing on our back yard jungle gym. We took her to the emergency room to get her arm put in a cast. When the cast came off, we realized the arm was not set properly and she only had about 30% rotation ability. We then were referred to Children's Hospital in Omaha where her arm was re-broken and her bones were drilled our to receive rods to get her bones to heal correctly. The surgery went well and in time she regained nearly 100% use of her arm. We thought we were out of the woods as several years had passed and she had no problems. However, after about 6 or so years, my wife and I noticed our daughter became reluctant to "stress" her arm. Within a week of noticing, she was in so much pain, she just held her arm to her stomach with her other hand. That's when we found Dr. Hurlbut. He took x-rays of her arm, and saw that the rod was being pushed out of her bone and was plucking a nerve every time she moved. Seeing how much pain she was in, he immediately scheduled surgery for her, so she could get some reprieve. Dr. Hurlbut sat down with me and my wife and in great detail, explained the surgery and what he needed to do. He gave us as much time as we needed to ask questions and share concerns. (He was also very kind and caring with my wife when she cried). The surgery went exactly as he had explained and our daughter is back to her normal self. I wished we had found Dr. Hurlbut when the accident happened, but we do count ourselves VERY fortunate to have found him to put an end to our daughters pain.
