Dr. Paul Brian Rahill, MD

I truly wish that I would have thought to look up reviews before I took my young son to this place. This doctor is rude, uncaring, dismissive, pompous, and out of touch. Initially, I just figured maybe he is used to working with teenagers and college guys in sports, but even with that, there is absolutely no excuse for his lack of proper medical practice. The worst part about this experience is that he decided that he needed to "re-align" my son's bones, without medication or proper verbal preparation. Then instead of being nurturing (as doctors--service providers should be) he chose instead to "chastise" my son as he was crying! I feel overwhelming guilt that I did not snatch my son away in that instant, but I am writing this review in hopes that it could prevent this situation from happening to another child! I agree that this man most likely gets all his referrals from ERs...I know that this is how we ended up going there! I was so impressed with the pediatric staff at the ER that I trusted the ER physician's referral for Dr. Rahill. This was the biggest mistake I could have made. What a disappointment. I can go on and on with other experiences we had, but ultimately, I just want to say to please, just be careful and consider other options before taking your children here. :-/

Dr. Rahill and staff are always responsive and caring. I had a knee scope and they were always willing to talk about what options I had for the best recovery. He wants to get you back to what you love doing.

First appointment was okay. Went and got the additional X-Ray he ordered. At second appointment he brought it to me un pened and told me it was the same thing my prime diagnosed and would refer me to Spinal Diagnostics and Pain Management. After calling for more than three weeks to both, no answer from either.

Left me high and dry after carpal tunnel surgery, saw him before surgery, not since. No response to ER visit to hospital or me. No response to over ten calls to office following surgery. No response from office.

Dr. Rahill is a no nonsense, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. He tells you what is wrong and how he's going to fix it. Then he does it with the utmost care and precision. I had ACL reconstruction surgery with meniscus tear repair. The resulting stiches were the best I have ever seen. There will be little to no scaring. And my recovery is going very well with physical therapy due to the excellent work he did in surgery. Dr. Rahill came highly recommended by a friend and I would recommend him enthusiastically to anyone needing knee surgery of any kind.

Effective surgery, not great follow up. I went back for a post op check up and he didn't even feel the knee he did surgery on to figure out where the continued pain was coming from. I'm looking for more in depth reviews.

I'm very grateful Dr Rahill fit me into his schedule and repaired my knee the day after I tore the patellar tendon. My confidence in his experience and professionalism was well placed and he has me well on the way to recovery. I particularly appreciate the fact that he is an athlete himself and understood my desire to return to my sport at 100%.

Dr. Rahill performed surgery on my hip and both knees. I had no problems at all and appreciated his expertise. He was pleasant at all times. If I have to have orthopedic surgery again, I would choose Dr. Rahill.

I can't help but believe the negative reviews/comments about Dr. Rahill don't tell the whole story. I've seen Dr. Rahill for some different issues over the past 10 years. I first saw him 10 years ago when he successfully repaired my shattered patella. His skill and professionalism are responsible for helping me maintain my quality of life! I recently ran into some back problems and wasn't having any luck at all scheduling an appointment with the specialist that my primary doctor wanted to use. I reached out to Dr. Rahill for help and within 24 hours he had me in his office. He reviewed my MRI results and explained to me (in terms that a regular guy such as myself) what the problem was and what could be done to fix it. He spent at least 30 minutes with me and made sure all my questions were answered before we finished. He made it clear that he is ALWAYS available to help. I thanked him and his simple explanation was "that's what we're here to do..." None of us ever want to visit the doctor but I can honestly say that Dr. Rahill and his staff (who seem to have been carefully selected because they care as much as he does) make the visit quite pleasant!

I waited 25 minutes, and I still hadn't seen him when the staff requested my co-payment. I offered my FSA credit card, and they said they only took check or cash and refused to see me without the co-pay. It's okay not to take credit cards, but you really need to let first-time patients know. I ended up seeing an entirely different doctor due to the poor office experience.

He is the best orthopedic surgeon to put your body put back together. Me: 62 year old, very active, martial artist, extreme mountain biker, and parkour. I've been hurt a lot and need the best orthopedic. Seen Dr Rahill for: 1. Ruptured back discs, crippling 2. Torn knee ACL (surgery) 3. Torn back muscle 4. Broken Humerus (upper arm) 5. Torn off distal biceps tendon (surgically repaired) Diagnosis quick, efficient, accurate; recommendations flawless. He recommends alternatives to surgery when appropriate. He is direct, tells the facts, truth, most optimal solution; clear, honest, precise, no bull, accurate. Further, in private discussions with his nurse, I discovered that he is actually brilliant. He is certified in all the right places and has excellent experience. His surgical approach to the distal biceps tendon repair was incredible. It has been nearly bullet proof, I recovered in a very short time with no issues. I've seen many doctors and many orthopedics. He is the best and I would and do go back to him for any orthopedic care. Highly recommended!

I was shocked to read the reviews of some of the other people. This doctor is amazing.. He saw myself and my daughter today. I have a bad knee and will be having sx next week. I have had sx before on this knee and was a little nervous about the previous surgeon. I don't feel nervous at all about this surgery. He was kind, took the time to explain the surgery to me and I feel comfortable about next week. Thank you Dr. Rahill and Staff.

He was very nice to me and dad and he addressed my condition with me and he and the nurses very nice to me. He was very nice to me today.

I would recommend Dr. Paul Rahill as an Orthopedic surgeon.. My Mother has had a hip replacement and one knee replacement with the other knee to be replaced in May. Dr. Rahill performed these surgeries and I would not have trusted any other surgeon to operate on my Mother for these procedures. He is excellent with his patients and their families. He takes time to talk to his patients and their families and answer any questions they may have. He has an excellent staff. He is well respected by the hospital, nurses, and hospital staff. One of the nurses at Penrose who cared for my Mother, stated that Dr. Rahill's patients usually seem to heal faster, go home sooner and do not come back to the hospital with infections after surgeries. I feel that he is an excellent Orthopedic surgeon. I would place all my trust in his skills and recommend that you place your trust in him also if you need an Orthopedic surgeon, you will not be sorry.

I would give Dr. Rahill no stars,horriable horriable, horriable, I have bad knees, he tried some none surgical things, They didn't work. So he told me I cant help you anymore and if you can't sleep because of the pain take some sleeping pills. He is a arrogant jerk. He doesn't care like a doctor should. I would not recomened him for my worsed enemy. He may help you if you are 65 or weigh 100 pounds.

Dr. Rahill has seen both my kids. He was great w/ both of them. Explained everything very clearly and was there to answer questions. He did a great job!

I have had a number of experiences with broken bones in the past 10 years. I have broken my right foot, my right leg, and my left leg twice.Th last time I broke my left leg, Dr Rahill was the doctor they called to see me in the ER.My leg required surgery and the insertion of a titanium rod in my lower leg. I broke it at 5:30 AM and was in the emergency room, then admitted to wait for an OR; all day long, Dr Rahill came to check on me and keep me updated on the status. It was late in the evening when a room finally became availabel, but he made sure I was awake and doing as well as expected and made sure my husband was informed and got to see me as soon as I was awake before he went home.My care after the surgery was excellent; I broke my leg the day before Halloween and on Halloween at evening rounds, Dr Rahill came by to see me. Dressed as Capt Jack Sparrow! I can't tell you how much I appreciated that, a doctor who cared did an excellent job, and had a sense of humor.His care after my surgery, at all my visits and even the OP surgery yo remove the screws holding the rod in place after my leg healed were all great experiences, considering the circumstances. He is the best!!!

Dr. Rahill is bedside manner deficient. He is arrogant, uncommicative, condescending, and pretentious not to mention self-centered. This is not just my opinion but data gathered from his staff, colleagues and other patients.He is only interested in athletes and the rest of his patients he barely acknowledges. He is also an ageist.
