My experience with Dr. Paul Richard for the last 7 years has been Awesome. He’s the only person I’ll ever trust to work on me in the future, if needed. His expertise and education are impeccable and impressive. I would hope that anyone who ever would need help, could find Dr. Paul Richard.

Dr. Richard is an excellent Dr he always takes his time to explain everything in detail. If you need surgery he is the best you can have. I would Highly recommend him.

I would not visit Dr. Richard again. My examination and follow up, felt rushed and cursory. But the most important factor in this review is that it was impossible to get hold of anyone on his staff for paperwork or questions. my results were not made available to me. It was possibly the most inaccessible doctors office I have ever visited. The whole experience left me, frustrated and upset

I thought a lot about this and never write reviews. The office is typically disorganized and rude. I am used that aspect. Dr. Richard is equally disorganized and rude. Almost zero effort explaining anything. Both visits he poorly attempted to explain my back issues with different problems without any additional tests or results. Bottomline - I would not recommend Dr. Richard at this point.

Check out his background. He has not been practicing as long as he claims. He fraudulently lists his internship in PA as years of ‘experience’ on his resume. Competence should be your focus Doc, not deceit.

Dr. Richard has been my neurosurgeon for a chronic condition since I moved to Naples. His bedside manner is sometimes lacking, but he is an excellent surgeon. His assistant, Byron, is much better with the hand holding and question answering, so if that's what you want, ask for Byron. Dr. Richard has come in on weekends, late at night, and early in the morning to do revisions on my appliance. He's never acted like it was an inconvenience to do this. I would definitely recommend him to other people.

My 1st appointment, Dr. Richard advised me the 6 screws I had in my neck/spine area were extremely loose. I asked him what would happen if I did not have surgery and his response was .. you will die. I had more questions due to being terrified of the news, but he rushed me out of the room and told me not to come back unless I had an MRI, CT scan and X-rays. The way in which Dr. Richard spoke to me was extremely rude, harsh and definitely not very compassionate. After I left his office I was a terrified. I cancelled my flight to Germany the following week and instead made quick appointments to get the MRI, CT scan and X-rays completed. Dr. Richard's office set me up for a consultation which I attended with a friend of mine. I was too afraid to go back by myself based on the way he treated me the first time. During the consult, Dr. Richard spoke to both of us very rudely. He started off the conversation by showing her the X-rays where her screws were very loose. I said when do I have to have surgery? He said no surgery. She said "you told me if I do not have surgery, I will die". Dr. Richard's response was "we all die" Although this is true, this is no way to discuss a sensitive topic with your patient. I again tried to get more answers at which time Dr. Richard said.... If you complain enough to a doctor, He will cut you open. Dr. Richard continued to talk in this type of manner until my friend finally said to him "your bedside manner is horrific". My friend advised me to leave the appointment. This doctor is extremely arrogant, rude and emotionally draining to visit. He does not give any details as to why he said I needed surgery and then NO SURGERY. DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER DOCTORS WHO ARE PROFESSIONAL AND CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS.

I had read his bad reviews from previous patients but decided to give him a shot anyway. But the reviews were correct and what an arrogant and unprofessional doctor he is. Very rude and not compassionate at all. Felt very uncomfortable around him and couldn't wait to get out of his office. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend him to anyone!!

Today was my 1st visit with Dr. Richard. What a treasure he is. I have many neuro problems and he took the time to explain and show me the X-Rays and to send me to the appropriate doctors. Although he is very professional, he is also friendly and will explain things to you and takes the time with you until you feel you understand..You are in good hands with him..
