Dr Paul Stefan Leo

I have been suffering with sciatica for over 10 yrs. Dr. Leo provided excellent care, time and understanding. Highly recommend.

I don't even know where to begin. In short, Dr. Leo saved my life. After dealing with increasingly unbearable pain for almost two years and dealing with doctors who couldn't find an answer and quite frankly just didn't care, I finally found Dr. Leo and my life has done a 180. I have spent my life dreaming of becoming a vet and when I finally made it to vet school I was sidelined by more illness and pain than I can describe. I was missing weeks of school and was minutes from having to drop out. I didn't want to live. Not that life. Not a life where my roommates were rushing me to the ER what felt like every other day. Not a life where after years of hard work my dreams were being yanked out from under me. I went into my first appointment expecting to be let down and treated like a drug seeker yet again. What I found couldn't have been further from that. He spent almost two hours working to figure out what could possibly be causing my symptoms. He ended up coming up with a diagnosis that explains every problem I have ever dealt with. He is working with me to manage my pain and has gone above and beyond to make a plan to give me back my life. I couldn't be more grateful to Dr. Leo.

I was referred to Thornton spine and orthopedic Center following my car accident . A careless driver left me with cracked ribs back pain neck pain and headaches probably the worst pain I've had ever in my life . I was lucky enough to be seen by Dr. Paul Leo who specialty is managing pain . I was immediately impressed by his knowledge his manner his explanation of treatment and yes his humor which along with my cracked ribs Was something to see. He immediately set me at ease and guided me through the entire process coordinating with the physical therapist and managing my condition . There are not many doctors that you look forward to seeing Dr. Paul Leo is one of them . I highly recommend if you are ever in need he is the man to see. If there was more than a five star recommendation Dr. Leo would get them from me . Thank you for getting me back to my old self . Gratefully, Tom Hannan

Dr Leo is the best Dr I have ever had to manage pain. It takes a while before I trust. Dr Leo takes some getting used to to at first. I found him to be through in what he does. He didn't blow smoke up my nose. He tells me just how things are. If I don't know where or how to get something accomplished he will guide me to who or where I need to go. He listens too. I pray he's around a while to continue to be my pain Dr. Thank you!

Dr Paul Leo is prob the worst doctors Ive ever encountered. He treats patients like it's a privilege to be in his presence. Dr Leo is 1.5 hrs. late, or more, for every apot that Ive had, and these are mid morning appointments, sad. Doctor Paul Leo has a very poor bedside manner and you get treated like dirt.

This place only caters to insurance cases they do not care about patients with health insurance. Terrible facility

I saw DR Leo to manage my medtronic pump after relocating. My pump was 2 years implanted and I was getting great results. I have no idea why a pain doctor would change something that's working but DR Leo did so. At the time my Basal rate was 7mg and I had 6 bolus's at 3 hour intervals for breakthrough pain in a 24 hour period as needed and as I said previously I was doing great. He's been dealing with these pump much longer than I have so I went along with his plan. He increased my basal rate to 8mg and 3 bolus at 8 hour intervals and my pain got much worse. I explained my BTP has a lot of flux and that wasn't working. Long story short after making me come back time and time again making adjustments. I had to get a Medtronic Rep to meet me at an appt to finally get DR Leo to put my pump back to its original setting that worked better. I immediately left after that to a much better practice.

been a patient of dr leo's for many years. He's a gruff, intelligent, fully involved guy. There's a difference between gruff and rude, and dr leo has never been rude. I actually find the gruffness endearing. I think he cares about his patients a ton, but tries not to show it. (a guy thing?) I trust him completely, his injections have been more beneficial than two previous pain doctors' attempts. The office staff, however, make me want to find a new dr. every time i call or come in, and that is unfortunate. the standards for medical office staff have deteriorated a lot over the years, and this office, more so than any other office I go to. (I get kinder treatment when i go next door to waffle house after the appts.) they arent kind, or interested, your pain seems to be an annoyance to them, and if you have any questions or comments, you will get the impression that they'd rather do anything instead of have to talk to you. Nevertheless, I get great care once I get past the staff and sit down with the doc, so I stay. He is worth it.

This Dr listens to your concerns, takes whatever time needed to help anyway he can, strong medication policy, very knowledgeable in all phases of pain related symptoms and treats with caution but confidence. Had several epidural injections with good relief from pain. Allowed me to followup with him after first surgery even though I am on medicaid.Awesome Dr

Can't praise Dr Leo enough (especially being a New Yorker)He took over my case after I was admitted to Colo Hospital. performed injections and provided treatment so I could walk again. I'm 61, handicapped, on Medicaid, Old Age Pension,(meaning he receives about 40% of his normal fee). He has actually given me better treatment than the previous DRs when I had Aetna/Great West Ins. He is gruff on the outside but very caring on the inside. Very knowledgeable, has good PA, Johnathan, awesome office mgr, Jackie, new bur friendly front office staff. Highly recommend this Pain Specialist and Anesthesiologist.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!DISRESPECTFUL,RUDE,CONDESENDING ,SAME WITH HIS STAFF. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR.!!! I am a former patient of Dr. Leo, I was so dissatisfied with Dr. Leo I almost reported him. He even wrote complete lies about me in my records which I retreived and showed to my lawyer. When I told my lawyer all the negative experiences I had with Leo he said "sounds like your Dr. was out to get you" I was even accused of tampering with a urine sample. His office staff is no better, It's hard to believe any of them have nursing degrees or are any type of trained professionals, one of the so called nurses tried to start an IV on me, in doing so I fainted when I started seeing my hand swell up with extreme pain. Dr. Leo acted like he was so put out because I didn't want to go ahead with my procedure. This all happend from 2000 to 2004.

Disrespectful, demeaning,unprofessional, rude, didn't explain procedures, not good at answering questions.And that's the sugar-coated version.
