Dr. Shonnard is the best at what he does. I've had both knees and , most recently, my right hip replaced. I feel great and my recovery was problem free. Love the staff.

I had two issues, shoulder and knee. I was worried I would go in and told I needed surgery on one or both. Dr. Shonnard asked a lot of questions and was extremely thorough, communicative, respectful and honest. I’ve seen the “big orthopedic machine” in town and wanted some personal attention and that’s what I got. I don’t need surgery and was grateful for his and his staff’s honest and compassionate service. Looking forward to be able to visit again if needed!

Dr Shonnard is very professional and personable. I felt at ease from the first minute of my consultation. I had one person at another doctor's office suggest that I might need knee replacement and I was really scared, but needed a second opinion. Dr Shonnard is the only doctor I would choose if I had to have knee surgery, but he found that an steroid injection was probably all I needed. He was able to do it on that same visit and I was thrilled. I have no more pain in my knee and was able to start walking again. I am thrilled with his diagnosis. I highly recommend him.

Dr Shonnard’s knowledge and expertise are unparalleled. He is a direct communicator, which some might mind off-putting, but he is trying to get an accurate and clear-cut diagnosis, without unnecessary “fluff”. He does not rush the visits, spending a lot of time with his clients. I trust him completely and it’s why I return to him when orthopedic issues arise!

Dr. Paul Shonnard is a great surgeon. He fixed my right shoulder and when it came time to do my left shoulder 6 years later he was first on my list. I am a week out and it is going great. Thank you Dr. Shonnard and staff.

Dr. Shonnard did both my hip replacement and total knee replacement surgeries within 90 days in 2023 - both were great experiences. The staff and follow-up on my recoveries both are excellent. What can I say but he's the best in Northern Nevada.

Waited about an hour but I didn't mind as when Dr. Shonnard is in the room, he is attentive, thorough, and an excellent communicator. He replaced my husband's knee, a very difficult case, and managed it extremely well. I have complete trust in his ability to care for my knee issues. His staff are some of the best I have ever encountered.
