Dr. Peter Steven Harvey, MD

D. Harvey is a very special doctor. He just seems to know what to do to diagnose the problem. I have been to several orthopedic doctors and by far he is the best and am so grateful that he was referred to me by my sister; who had been having treatment for years for her back and when she went to Dr. Harvey; he told her it was her hip that was giving her the problem. She had it replaced and has been great since. Keep up the good work; Doc!

Dr. Harvey and his team are very professional and helpful in ensuring the best care and resources are provided to recover properly. Dr. Harvey takes the time to educate and listen to the concer ns that are causing you discomfort. His assistant Haley, is engaging and thoughtful in following up and always pleasant. I would recommend and glad to have this team a part of my journey with the preventive maintenance for my neck.

Dr Harvey is terrible. He was completely unprepared for my pre-surgical appointment. He did not open my chart prior to meeting with me. He treated me like I was a new patient and offered me steroid shots. I have been getting them for over 6 years and our next plan was surgery. He had no idea I was there for a pre-surgical appointment. I canceled everything because I did not want someone cutting me open who couldn't even be bothered to open a chart prior to my appointment.

Dr. Harvey is Amazing! He did my sister’s hip in 2016! I first saw him for my left knee about 6 years ago! He performed a right hip replacement on me in February 2023! It all has been a great experience! Dr. Harvey has a personality that puts you completely at ease! He is very professional, personable, knowledgeable and just great to communicate with! He helped me thru this process with no problems! The entire staff has been wonderful would recommend to everyone!

Had a great experience with Resurgens. Dr. Harvey and the staff were very efficient, thorough and friendly. I was seen on time with very little wait from check-in to check-out. Even when making the appt, the schedule coordinator found the best date/time to get me in for an appt. She even provided me with detailed instructions how to get to the #500 building. Awesome service...will definitely recommend.

Dr Peter Harvey is the best Orthopedist I’ve ever had, and unfortunately, I’ve had a few, I’ve been seeing him for years! He’s the most caring, understanding, straightforward Dr.!!

I waited two months for this appt and scheduled it on my day off. Was called the day before and told he couldn’t see me and not given any alternative but to drive to a different location. The staff was rude. I get it emergencies come up but there are tons of drs at Resurgens. Sometimes regular people can reschedule and sometimes we can’t. I could not take a day off. I do expect a place NOT to be RUDE and to WORK with me in instances when it’s not my fault the appt was cancelled. I have NEVER had this problem when bringing my daughter there multiple times to see Spencer Rowland. You can bet it will be the last time I go there OR recommend them.

After several visits to see Dr. Harvey he came up with a guessed solution that my SI Joint needed to be fused. He performed the fusion and guess what? I still have the same problem with much pain when walking. He then told me it was my hip. I went to Dr. Goodman because I was so fed up with Harvey's lack of concern and inability to follow through with my prescriptions. Guess what? It isn't my hip, its my lower back. I would never trust him to touch me again after the agony I have been through. He stays confused, gives improper diagnosis and I don't trust him.

Dr. Harvey performed surgery on my son. It was successful and the doctor was kind and explained everything well. Due to our good experience i am having knee surgery done by him, as well. He spent plenty of time explaining anything I asked about and I only waited about 20 minutes to see him.

He gave me a bogus diagnosis that I wasted 3 months trying to treat, told me to continue with work and my symptoms got worse. When I went in for a second appointment I told him I thought his diagnosis was wrong, he said "then you must be getting better" and walked out of the room. My condition is tendinitis.

Dr Harvey is the worst surgeon I've ever dealt with. In it for the money only and could care less about the patient.

I can't believe the things I have read here about Dr. Harvey. He has always been professional and caring with me. He has peformed several procedures on my back with wonderful results and I plan to let him take on my knees as soon as possible. His staff has always been resonsive to my inquirires and I have never waited over 24 hours for a medicaation refill. Dr. Harvey is what I belive a true and caring physician should be.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harvey for at least 8 years. Courtesy of the staff has been great and I couldn't ask for better caring pysician. I work in the medical field ,so I have seen the good and bad in staff and doctors. There are good and bad patients as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Harvey's for a little over one year. I had an accident and was diagnosed with a sprained ankle. In my appointments over the last year, I have waited long lengths of time to be seen. During my last visit, I was there for two hours. Many people were loudly complaining about the wait. Dr. Harvey sees too many patients and is always in a hurry. He does not take the time to listen and talk to you as a patient. He is friendly but lacks a caring attitude. I recently telephoned the office and requested clarity on my diagnosis and medical files. I had to call the office three times before being contacted. Dr. Harvey sounded bothered to be calling me. He obviously had another file with mine because he asked about my arthritic knee. I told him that I didn't see him concerning my knee. He then referred to my ankle. It very much makes me feel uncomfortable that I was confused with another patient. The key word that describes the Resurgens Orthopaedics, Fayetteville Practice is Rushed. I will not be returning.

After surgery on first my right and then my left knee only 4 weeks apart, I called his office for a perscription on wensday morning. It is now monday night and my husband has to go to the Morrow office to pick it up tomorrow at noon. Dr. Harvey is a wonderful man with a great sense of humor , but if you are in serious pain, you might want to look elsewhere. His office is not very interested in making sure their patients are comfortable.
