You need an Orthopedic Doctor because of a knee with bone-on-bone rubbing and causing extreme pain? The first Orthopedic doctor I chose turned out not to be a good fit for me. I researched Ortho Doctors by checking Education/Surgery Skills. That is when I decided on Dr. Raj Yalamanchili at Upper Chesapeake Hospital as my surgeon. He made me comfortable until it was decided surgery was necessary. I made that decision and am now 3 months post-op from a Total Knee Replacement. I was impressed with Dr. Raj’s surgical skills and he was impressed with my recovery progress. He was a blessing in my life. I would recommend him to family and friends. His office staff is efficient and helpful getting all the pre-op exams accomplished. You owe it to yourself to check out Dr. Raj when looking for an excellent Ortho Surgery. Do your homework.

I visited Dr Yalamanchili for a second opinion for my right knee. The doctor had xrays taken and explained to me On the X-ray what the issues and concerns are. I had a total knee replacement and have been almost pain free from day one. Its been 7 weeks since my surgery and I’m very pleased with the replacement I received from Dr Yalamanchili. I would recommend him and his practice to anyone friend or family

I saw Dr. Raj Yalamanchili for a second opinion after my original provider delayed me from Feb to Aug 2019. I needed total hip replacement due to severe arthritis (bone on bone). Dr. Raj listened attentively and completed my surgery n Oct. His staff did a great job guiding me through all the medical clearances. He uses robotic-assisted surgery and I have had no problems or complaints. I can't say enough about the doctor and his staff. Great job all around!

Excellent physician and surgeon. Listened attentively, offered several solutions before the inevitable knee replacement surgery. The surgery went off with out any problems. The staff at Upper Chesapeake Heath were very responsive.

Dr Raj performed a left total hip replacement on me during COVID as an outpatient. I am extremely pleased with my results. No pain after the initial 24 hours and I healed very well. I highly recommend this doctor as he is straightforward and very competent

I recently had bi lateral knee replacement. I have recovered very well and Dr Yalamanchili has been great. I would recommend him to anyone looking at surgery. His bed side manor has been great and his concern for his patient is also very good. He has made this surgery very successful for me.

I chose Dr. Yalamanchili to perform a right hip replacement after a lot research and talks with doctors I am familiar with. I am so glad he was the one I chose. Although elderly, I have never had any type of surgery performed before. Not only did he my anxiety about the surgery but my recovery time has been beyond my and my family's expectations. If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon I highly recommend Dr. Yalamanchili.

Dr Yalamanchili has replaced my Left & right knees. He is a superior surgeon I had no problems followed his instructions, very knowledgeable. He has a very pleasure, friendly manner,Easy to talk to, Explains everything that is to be done and puts you in a relaxed state of mind.

Dr Raj did my right knee replacement. He took the time to explain to my daughter and I what was going to be done and how and what to expect afterwards. I also had a MUA and he explained the procedure again and it worked out perfect. I trust him so very much and would recommend him highly ??

I recently underwent total hip replacement with Dr. Yalamanchili. He is a serious guy, but is patient and calm answering all of your questions. The surgery and recovery have gone extremely well.

I struggled with right hip and leg pain for over 13 years. I went to several doctors over and over and no one really helped me. It was always more of the same, just therapy, meds, injections, nothing worked. It got so bad, I was having trouble walking and the pain was chronic everyday/night pain. My quality of life was taken from me. I was referred to a hip surgeon in Towson. I took him all the scans and he said nothings wrong with your hip, you don’t need surgery so I left feeling confused and defeated. Well, a month later my pain management doctor referred me to Dr. Jah and I went without any scans. He did an X-ray of my hips and immediately showed me where the problem was and that I needed a total hip replacement. I was floored. He said it would take away at least half of my pain if not more. I had the surgery about 4 months ago and WOW!! It has changed my life! I mostly have no pain at all. If I over do it in the day I might have some soreness but other than that my quality of life is back. It’s been an amazing journey. From day one the pain was different. I had surgical pain but that everyday stabbing pain was gone. And now 4 months out I was able to wear 3 inch wedged heels for the first time in 10 years! Due to my hip I’ve had to wear nothing but sketchers. I know this is a long comment but I wanted you guys to understand how wonderful Dr. Jah and his staff are. He was the only one who just simply fixed me. It was so easy and so fast. I can never thank him enough for changing my life! Thank you...thank you!!

Dr. Raj is an excellent surgeon who knows exactly what needs to be done. He is a man of few words and but does listen to your concerns.I had a total knee replacement which for me was extremely painful for three monnths. preop physical therapy could have helped in my recovery.

I came to Dr. Raj after a fall at work and he took the time to review my diagnosis, give me some exercises to do at home, and answer all of my questions. I didn’t feel rushed and every question I had was thoroughly answered. His friendly demeanor helped me deal with a stressful situation.

Dr. Yalamanchili operated on my 94 year old father with a broken hip, when another surgeon would not attempt it. He saved his life and is now walking 200 feet in only 16 days since the surgery. Dr. Raj was Outstanding. I had a full right knee replacement and I couldn't be happier. From the very start to the very end. He listen and answered all my questions and made me feel very important. Even the times right before surgery when I was scared he explained everything to calm me down. I also would like to thank the Upper Chesapeake Joint Replacement Team. Shannon the team leader was excellent in scheduling the before and after surgery hospital needs and with my in home PT and Nurse. I was referred to Dr Yalamanchili by my PCP. I was having severe knee pain. He recommended Synvist injections and now I am pain free. The doctor knows what he is talking about and is very gentle. It helps that he is so handsome too!
