Thomas RutenbeckI am exceedingly greatful to Dr. Khanna, who was responsible for the early detection of the cancer that had started in my liver. It made the curative treatment of transplant possible. Most people that get this type of cancer don't find out until it is too late to be cured.Tonight is now 11 weeks since I was called in to have my liver transplant. I had a followup appointment at the transplant clinic today. They tell me that my labs and exams are excellent. My new liver is functioning well, my surgical wound is now healed, my physical signs are thriving, and I can start driving again. My healing has progressed to the point where my medications are greatly reduced... and the clinic will not need to see me for another six weeks. I am feeling pretty good too.
