Dr Mahboobi gave me my second injection today, spinal, steroid..so leading up to my first injection I experienced five weeks of 10 level, relentless pain. I tried dry needling, three visits, no relief, message, no relief, and on a recommendation of my family practice physician I went to S and P and met my miracle Doctor....he was gentle, reassuring, and I sensed his caring and professional manner...injections completed I lifted myself off the table to a standing position, flinching expecting the pain I was living with the past five weeks......it was gone! Now 4 weeks later still no pain I received my second shot....he advised that I wait a while before the third shot, or only if the pain returns.....

First visit with Dr Mahboobi and I finally see some light at the end of the tunnel!! He LISTENED to me, conducted his examination, discussed likely diagnosis (pending MRI and xrays), discussed likely treatment and came up with a plan that was not only promising, but achievable. And not once did he look at his watch or make me feel hurried - time was truly devoted to my health care. Everyone in his staff was professional, polite, competent and friendly. Finding a good back doctor is difficult, but finding one you like with an awesome staff is priceless!!

I have had back pain for the last 5 years and have been to many doctors who haven't been able to help. I first went to see Dr.Mahboobi in the shirlington office. His staff there was very rude and incompetent. Dr.Mahboobi on the other hand was gracious, understanding and knowledgeable. He informed me that he also worked in the Mount Vernon office, which is where I have been seeing him since. The staff there is courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about insurances. I would not recommend going to another office. Since I have been seeing him my pain has been minimal to none. Dr.Mahboobi and his Mount Vernon staff has changed my life.
